At least the PWM is at a sub 40C idle and 46C load now... without the extra air, it went all the way up to 61C during gaming *sigh*

Anyway...the story is.... I just came back about an hour ago and the monitor show no VGA signal.
First thought that came to mind was....leakage. Then I found some wetness on the VGA..... after taking out everything. Tubings were perfectly clamped...pumps working.... taking apart the Storm, there's nothing groovy inside. It just cracked. Heck, I didn't even over tighten the darn barbs. Next time I'll invest in some of those shorter stainless steel barbs instead. Edit: Now tengah Operation Remove Burnmark from VGA.... nicely goreng'ed sial. OMG!!! never seen a Storm crack before. i think most people use those plastic barbs that came with block. maybe your block got some manufacturing defects that causes it to crack. any hope for RMAing the block???First thought that came to mind was....leakage. Holy crapperoo Sniper, ure luck has really been awesomely bad of late. Was water still circulating in the loop when u got back? Coz the MCP350 is very sensitive to running dry. The manual says DO NOT RUN DRY. If it was running on dry loop then u better gif the pump a good check too.

QUOTE(Shah81 @ Jun 20 2006, 10:04 PM) Ain't the block that I'm worried about...can easily get a replacement. Yeah it's still expensive but wtf... Geezzz...this "could" be the 2nd vga card I killed in a row QUOTE(ianho @ Jun 20 2006, 10:24 PM) Holy crapperoo Sniper, ure luck has really been awesomely bad of late. If it was running on dry loop then u better gif the pump a good check too. Ain't the pump dood.... the whole system still perfectly functional. Everything ok....I was curious where the leak came from actually and only saw the crack when I took out everything. And nope....didn't overtighten and nope...it was perfectly crack-less when I installed it. Such is the mystery of computing. |

Moral of the story: Leak test the buggers before hooking em up. You never know. My old Maze 4 was leaking rat's piss after reassembly

Where do you get your water cooling gear? Got local source besides forum members? (not wc kit)
