QUOTE(uzairi @ Mar 15 2006, 03:13 AM) Sadly there's minor improvement that u can make to this setup that is shorten the loop but i doubt that would do any effect to your temp. Secondly u can change the pump to a higher lph and hmax pump. I noticed that u submerged your pump inside the reservoir rite ? Is it Nirox p2800 ? erm.i am thinking of shoertening and readjust the position of reservoir and loops. YES, the pump is submerged and is not a NIROX p2800 , i couldn't find the pump here in JB. so i decided to get 1 pump from an aquarium shop and submerged it. since i cud not find a solution to my pump problem. and yes i am facing water getting warmer if i turn it on for a long time. even though the pc is turned off. Thanks. Maybe i wud go back and rethink it. aNy commnets are welcomed |

QUOTE(Shah81 @ Mar 15 2006, 01:43 PM) submerging pump into the reservoir can increase the loop temp by a few degrees depending on the total heat dump by the pump. so i suggest you change it into inline setup if it is nirox p2800. are there any other pump's i can use besides the NIROX p2800i couldnt find the pump around JB. i did have problem looking around for the fittings. anyways, can i use the same pump and put it in line ? it is 5800 pump. |

QUOTE(almostthere @ Mar 16 2006, 11:53 PM) Unfortunately my friend, if the pumps meant to be submerged, it is for a good reason as prolonged usage inline would lead to failure. I believe this was explained before in my guide to WC'ing as certain pumps in order to cut cost use motors which generally generate more waste heat cos their cheaper to make. So I'd say try getting someone to purchase for you an Nirox P2800 which still remians in my books the best budget AC pump in terms of performance Vs. heat dump at the moment. Trust me, do not risk using a submerged pump inline especially if you plan to use it for prolonged hours. OP once ran a setup designed by aleck which utilises 2 Nirox P3800's (Which are actually meant for submerged use due to the heat generated) and both went bust after 2 months of usage. Even in an air condtioned showroom thanks bro....Still by far for me AS5 unless you're going something more extreme of at least peltier's if not phase changers i think i have read ur guide or amoks guide before, then i decided to submerged any pump if i cud not find the NIrox P2800. anyways, ALeUNe offered me to pinpoint the shop that sells Eheim Pumps in JB area. Eheim and Nirox P2800 . can the eheim be put in line ? Compared to nirox p2800 ? i know the nirox is a favorite and cheap. @Shah81, I read the shoot out already and have kept a copy of those pages at home, and did go around JB looking for those pumps used in the shoot out. NO LUCK for me. I cud not find any. Thanks To all That Helped. |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Mar 17 2006, 11:07 AM) Hi, erm..You can get Eheim pump from pet shop in Skudai and Tmn Gaya. PM me if you want to find out the actual location. over the weekend i have been out of my house searching for an immersible pump. it seems i cud not find any one of the pumps in amoks guide. i did find a few shops selling eheims. but its pretty darn big to fit in my pc + comes with 2 years warranty ( must be VERY RELIABLE ) . I however did find. an Immersible pump , brand is LOHAN KING , QMAX is 1.5 or 1.8 m , its 1500 L/H for RM 46 ? any comments ? i think i shud just get the nirox from someone in KL. |

i just checked metalzone's bulk. the storm g4 is confirm way out of budget... maybe the apogee or AquaXtreme MP-05 SP LE or DD Copper TDK. those are in the budget. thanks bro amok... |

@amok,
tdk or rbx is not for nirox. erm.... most likely its AquaXtreme WhiteWater LE. i think this is suitable for Nirox. |

QUOTE(Shah81 @ Apr 26 2006, 07:00 PM) @dabad U mean, it wud be good to have a fan cooling down the pump ??yeah man...i think a powerful fan will help. that radiator looks really fat oh btw, it might help if you put a fan close to the pump to cool it down. it will reduce the heat dump into your loop by the pump . what about the pump we put near the intake fan of the system.... Wud it be ok, ? |

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Apr 26 2006, 10:18 PM) hi there, currently got the nirox p2800 from metalzone, i got a thermaltake m3 water tank, can it be used like reservoir??? i mean using the water tank to refill the system... or i do need another reservoir??? sry i am noob in water cooling... Yeah U can use the water tank as a reservoir , but u need to fit ur pumps with 1/4 fittings too.. or get a converter.... like the one thermaltake sells...if u are planning to use some other tube sizes. hehehe....
I was thinking of PM'ing to order 1 unit of the relay, but then i saw ur thread there... COOL... I'm In.. A QUESTION. Does it actually makes any difference in temps, if we pull or push air thru the radiator ? ( sorry if this is a noob question ) thanks. |
