Guys, dont forget that cache memory is important as well. My friend just bought the i7 5750 and the cache memory is runnin at 6m. Awww. Can't decide now 4830tg and 5750g. Just rm400 different. And I can get cheaper for 5750. Can't decide
Ong. Any suggestions? The only thing I hate about is 5750 using 15.6 screen. I want 14" actually. btw, they say this 2 model is using LCD . IZit true?

Sometimes i also confuse with the jargon they try to use. So i think it is using LCD with LED backlit TFT tongue.gif

14" HD 1366 x 768 resolution, Acer CineCrystal™ LED-backlit TFT LCD

One of the reason i didn't go with 5750G is the size, weight and design smile.gif

I am deeply poisoned by this thread for quite some time.

Heard that it was out of stock 2nd day of the fair in KL.

Yesterday cannot tahan already, drive to Batu Pahat PC fair and look around. First booth (Charlie) i asked, sold out all their 5 units. Left the display set...already tempted to sapu...

Walk around some more, see another acer booth, got display 4830TG also... and got ready stocks! Just 1 left.

Grab it and it came with FREE Acer Supercare Warranty which extended to 3 years smile.gif Just saved RM198.

Get back home and slept on the floor on my living room...so tired....wake up and it is time for work sad.gif

Haven't have time to play around with the laptop yet.

Any advice on which bloatware to discard before i do the back up?

Well, these laptops are of different class, can't really compare... the Acer 5750G is still one of the best 15" for that budget range thumbup.gif
And the 1GB/2GB difference for the Nvidia GT540M doesn't make much difference in terms of performances iinm

According to some forumers, the 2GB would be better if you're using multiple monitors or something... Don't think there'll be any differences in terms of gaming hmm.gif

So we can't push the graphic card to the limit unless we use multiple monitor?

Maybe if we HDMI it to big enough TV, it would tax it more

TV only hit 1920 x 1080. Bet there are some other monitor which can beat that resolution but didn't see any game that need resolution beyond that too

Yeah, something like that laugh.gif
But it doesn't really matter whether its 1GB or 2GB.. the most important thing is that the chipset flaw is fixed~

Anyway, the 4830Tg's battery won't "heat up fast" the problem is that the battery is built-in... so the heat generated by the laptop will "kill" the battery sad.gif

Yeap, loads of good comments on the 4830Tg, main competitors would be the Asus A43Sv and N43Jf...
As for the 5750g, short battery life is kind of expected since its a 15 incher.. In fact, if it weren't for Nvidia Optimus and the SB processor, I doubt it will last longer than you're experiencing now laugh.gif

I think if you're just using it for non gpu intensive applications, it should be ok.

On the other hand, my previous asus laptop's charger died before my battery died about a year later.

Exuse me Mr. Sifu. I've got a question regarding the battery.
Now, if I have a laptop with non-built-in battery, and was using it in gaming using the battery. Now, isn't it the same case as the built-in battery? Both are being used, then what makes the 4830tg battery so concern if it's used the same as an ordinary battery ?

Normally the rationale that a non-built-in battery is better if you game a lot is that you can plug it in and remove the battery.

However for myself, I game with it in anyways because I prefer peace of mind when working and gaming as the battery acts like a UPS.
