i just came back from pc fair. totally out of stock for acer 4830tg timeline series. omg. the only lappy that can fight with 4830tg is Asus. almost the same spec but price at rm2699
btw, another good bargain from acer also. the i7 15.6" led.
just add another rm300 bucks to get that. quite worth it also. running same spec with 4830tg but the different is the screen size and also the processor.
happy buying! =)

Guys, dont forget that cache memory is important as well. My friend just bought the i7 5750 and the cache memory is runnin at 6m. Awww. Can't decide now 4830tg and 5750g. Just rm400 different. And I can get cheaper for 5750. Can't decide Ong. Any suggestions? The only thing I hate about is 5750 using 15.6 screen. I want 14" actually. btw, they say this 2 model is using LCD . IZit true?

Okay, basically i dont mind if the battery wont last extra longer like the timeline series. What i want is the laptop wont feel heat up like the car engine after i game for hours. For 4830tg owners, anyone experience heat up fast on the boards? Cos i just test my friend's acer 5750g 15.6" , used for 3 hours feel like nothing still cool man. The only thing is 5750g is heavier and bigger ( means ugly than the 4830tg ) so any 4830tg owners please give me an answer? whether the laptop heat up fast anot? oh ya, not really a fan of asus. so i will confirm go for Acer, just to choose whether 4830tg or 5750g. remonx : not really sure about that.
guys, for those interested in 4830tg like me please do more research. especially the battery that can tahan long time. totally crap. that is just marketing strategy. so dont take that as an advantage.
the laptop can only last longer than normal laptop for bout 20 minutes maybe. but not 8 hours. 8 hours is on standby mode. from what my friend experienced on his 4820tg timeline series. his laptop manage to last for 3 hours. not 8 hours -.-

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Apr 19 2011, 12:49 AM) If 4830TG can only last 3hours, then 5750G can only last 2hours at most lol.. Your fren's laptop must have too much junk and spyware running in the background for it to only last 3hours Anyways, if your purpose is gaming, quad core n dual core makes little difference.. Only get quad if you're using those engineering software or Photoshop which utilises the extra cores.. icic. means that if i m only going for gaming side i should take 4830tg is more than enough u mean? seldom go for photoshop/engineering stuff though. but with extra 300+ i can get a full keyboard/bigger screens/better processors. awwww hard to choose again!!!

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Apr 19 2011, 01:02 AM) Haha, quite clear isn't it? Just see whether you prefer paying more for larger screen and full sized keyboard or paying less for a much better design, longer battery life, lighter laptop? Haha but I think we can always get an external keyboard rite. Already decided to take 4830tg anyone know any way I can get it fast?

QUOTE(dante5047 @ Apr 20 2011, 02:02 AM) This is really poisonous!! I wonder if I shall purchase Asus A43SV i7 or this laptop? I had bad experiences with Acer's laptop and desktop, afraid of its quality. But the USB3.0 is really attractive! Any ideas on Acer's quality? Thank you for sharing same with me, used to be an acer owner as well. but real bad experience but since my friend bought an acer that day. so i think i m going to change the perspective on acer nowadays. his model 5750 i7 laptop didnt heat up at all like the previous acer problems. now just wondering this 4830tg model will heat up fast like other laptops anot.

Guys new update.
Lowyat have the stock of 4830tg. The pricing is around rm2450 after discount. ( The shop is Acer itself located near the Hainan Kopitiam )
And a bad news for myself. Sadly, i'm not going to join the 4830tg gang anymore! T.T after survey for more than 10 shops, i will be taking the Asus second generation A53SV.
Price = rm60 extra Screen = 15.6" big instead of 14" Warranty = 2 years instead of Acer 1 year Specification = Everything is the same Quality = Survey more than 10 shops and more than 10 owners. All call me go for Asus as the quality is much better compare to Acer.
But seriously i dont really like the outlook compared to 4830tg. But no choice the overall specs is better. Will be waiting for coming IT Fair see got any good offers for Asus.

QUOTE(reevephon @ Apr 21 2011, 07:46 PM) Just don't listen to those sales person, they just simply say, what you need to know is a review from the actual owner which can be found here, but doesn't mean Asus is not good. By the way, when is the next IT Fair? may. forgot the exact date. not hearing the salesperson only. get alot of bad comments from my friends using acer. so decided to give up

Also the processors speed is mostly base on the cache memory if not mistaken.
4830tg is offering 3mb cache memory and 5750g is offering 6mb cache.
thats lot of different.

QUOTE(notroxcity @ Apr 22 2011, 11:36 PM) seriously? if that is indeed true, that's definitely a very good news! i already planned to go to lowyat tomorow to pickup one. but planning to do some cash rebate/no free gift plus haggling on the warranty extension. i seem to recall dat the RM198 supercare, was sold to me for under RM100 when i bought a laptop at the end of 2008 n also another laptop which i bought earlier this year....hurm... i bet you should wait for the coming IT FAIR. seriously i went lowyat that day. They know this model is hot selling and only 2 shops selling it. one is acer itself and another 1 is just normal small shop. both also LCLY selling this laptop. Cant get the price of 2400. PM nevertheless. He can offer better.

QUOTE(dante5047 @ Apr 24 2011, 01:01 AM) The batteries nowadays are smart enough to stop receiving power when it's fully charged, just like you stop eating when you're full. The problem causes a battery dies faster most probably is the heat generated by your laptop, the environment you use your laptop iinm. noted. if keep on charging will cause extra heat also right? so i still have to take it off every time it reaches 100%
