congratz n welcome  rclxms.gif

about that batt, i bet ur on balance mode, get it onto powersaving ( with powersmart activated) n u'll see 6,7 n maybe more hours into it nod.gif
*
Thanks smile.gif
Yup I was on balance mode, changed to powersaving, and it's been 9 hours with some sleep time on and off and the battery still has 60% biggrin.gif My old aspire 5920G's battery would've ran out 6 hours ago even on sleep mode lol

I'm also concerned about the battery being built in, i guess have to gamble now.. this is the only laptop that's better than other laptops i've compared with in term of price, specs, battery life, size and weight biggrin.gif

The laptop is out of stock already in one booth? o__o Wow, that's fast.

Oh yeah, the lid is fingerprint magnet.... yawn.gif

With power saving on, 4830TG discharge rate around what numbers? 6.5W? Web browsing, minimum brightness, mute.

Mine around 11.0-14W, cant really make it lower than 11W. Maximum cpu speed already limit to 20% under power option profile. I guess i5 really make a different even at idle.

Wow! Really? Selling like hot cakes, ya? I'm interested in this lappy too. My only concern in the built-in battery. Otherwise, it's kinda a perfect lappy for me. Considering between this lappy and Asus A43SV hmm.gif
*
u cant go wrong with a43sv , its almost too cheap! with i7 + gt540 n less then 3k! it got poisonous effect on it own ph34r.gif

only lack usb 3.0n yea, compare to 4830tg looks, its kinda lame.. no hard feeling a43sv owners! tongue.gif

yep around 5 - 10w , but strictly wifi + powersmart ON only with lowest visibility on display.
Even with bluetooth on, that figure will be change like mine now around 11-12w sweat.gif

Im considering of buying these 3 laptops which is:
1. Acer Timeline 4830G
2. Asus A43SV
3. Asus A53SV

By comparing the specification and features of these 3 laptops, the conclusion is:

Acer Timeline 4830G:
Pros: 1)Convenient to bring anywhere as it is small, light and portable!
2)Design is trendy and as it is made from aluminium material.
3)Battery is more long lasting as it has 1000 full cycle and
last longer hours.
4)The presence of usb 3.0 has become the plus point. ^^

Cons: 1)As the battery is integrated, when the large amount of heat is released, the heat will eventually damage the internal hardware. Thus, this laptop lifespan is shorter!
2)On the other hand, the smaller screen 14" compare to Acer a53sv 15.6" is one of the concern for many people also as you use in gaming or movie.

Well, 4830TG for me also...

He already said 'personally' right?

Design is so much better, and it's slim/light, more importantly LONG battery life...

Ok, let's say it's built-in and the battery deteriorates fast, but even if after 1 year lets say your wear level is 10%, 90% of original capacity still gonna have longer battery life than A53Sv....

For me, I plug to external monitor indoors, screen size doesn't matter to me.. But when you wanna take it to Uni, you'd wish your laptop is light... I can't imagine myself taking a 15inch to and fro the library, currently I carry my 2.2kg lappie for 15-20 minutes can kill already...
