Does it matter? I made some research, mostly said nowadays 5400 & 7200 HDD is the same in terms of power consumption.

i believe he refer to the faster transfer/reading speed rather than energy consumption...

If the built in battery is your main concern and you're worried about it, lets say if you play games a lot, then I suggest you to look at the latest Acer Aspire 4755G. The specs are exactly the same, comes with USB3.0 and GT 540M 2GB and Core i5, RM2299 only.

But if you wish for a bigger screen laptop, I assume that you're looking for a 15.6". You can consider Acer Aspire 5750G Core i5 + GT540M 2GB at RM2399.

I'm just introducing you some Acer models with the specs same like 4830TG, although the design of 4830TG is nicer.

jeles already w 4755G laptop. im sure dat its much more suitable for gaming since its design isnt as thin as 4830TG and spotting removable battery. but 4830TG definitely has its own strengh.light, thin, aroun 6hours of battery life. but as a gamer, better to go w 4755G, better heat removal while gaming.

If you want 14",
Asus N43SL with core i5 and GT540M, but the price is higher, RM2699, comes with a good built in speaker

If you want 15.6",
Asus N53Sv with similar specs at RM2699

Dell is quite expensive..

They are all using Nvidia Geforce GT540M, the graphics performance should be the same regardless of which processors they are using...

just depend on you if you prefer Asus or Acer smile.gif

So any switchable GPU laptop has 2 graphic cards? Or it is a graphic card that undergone some hardware modification?

the intel sandy bridge processors all have integrated graphics inside.... depends on the manufacturers whether they want to use it or not... example a43sv hav gt540m dedicated gpu... but inside is sandy bridge processor, so gt integrated hd3000 gpu... but the manufacturer din implement optimus... so the integrated hd3000 is disabled.. it's thr... but unusable.. haha...
