sure can install XP on the laptop.but u'll have trouble finding the drivers. currently, there's only offcial drivers for windows 7 64 bit best solution wud b for u to install windows xp virtual machine. best of both worlds. u can use both xp n 7. my advice is ,to use this setup first until the official XP drivers are avaialble.

It didn't comes with DVDs, you need to create your own. 5 dvds altogether ( 4 for recovery, 1 for the driver and application)

well this is the steps wat i did :

1 - DO NOT UNINSTALL current driver <<--maybe its the reason dat optimus is working after driver update
2 - download lated driver from nvidia.com ---> double click n EXTRACT ,dont isntall YET
3 - go to http://goo.gl/VPfWY n download the INF file <---simply click "INF MODIFIED" -->>  "nvwi.inf" is the file
4 - copy the "nvwi.inf" file n paste/replace it into C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\275.33\Vista 64-bit\International\Display.Driver
5 - then install the driver by double clicling SETUP.EXE
6 - enjoy crysis 2, dirt 3 at a much higher framerate

Why want GT520M when you can  get GT540M?
Need to consider its size, since its 13''..
Closest spec and price is Toshiba with i3 and GT525M and that's 14'' with normal baattery..

won't.. as long ur ram not faulty.. if u wanna claim warranty is safe u remove ur RAM earlier sometimes the technician is cincai but depend!

4830tg is out of stock.. there will be new arrival soon but becareful with this lappy.. this lappy is not selling like hot cake & the production is low demand! but u heard news is selling like hot cakes cos the volume is restricted!

that is quite screw up... cheaper by RM500 but with no dvd rom,less ram n hdd oso i3...
btw,i got a question regard extended warranty by acer...
1. my lappy oledi about 2 month,can i get the extended warranty now?
2. does this 2 year extended warranty cover spare part? or it just cover the service charge?

u can send it back to acer n get it replace...
in the latest acer catalog,4830tg come with 750gb HDD...

just wan to ask where is the option to disable the webcam, can't seems to find it though. Thanks.
