Yes I have tried cherry browns.
Looks like clears might be the switch I am looking for, though i really want to research everything nicely before making a purchase.

I read too that Clears are rather stiff, almost like Blacks? I have never tried blacks before.
My primary usage is for typing. Would typing long time on clears tire the fingers easily?

8USD for a pad printed key? sorry but not worth it.

Any games? Better dont go for blue if you play action games, FPS or other fast pace games lots. The double tap of blue isn't really feel good to game on.

BTW, other infamous issue that happen to most of Razer BWU(and some BWE) are:
1. uneven / semi faulty switch which will feel, sound and bump different.
2. the keys are unevenly lifted(mean some keys on the same row may be higher and some is lower). For my case, my 'N' key are sank by 1mm and my 'C' key elevated 1mm.
3. flex of the keyboard wrist rest due to it's design. The design is semi floating and the wrist rest tend to flex upward at the centre.

Lastly, just want to ask whether you use laptop or desktop? BWU isn't so suitable with laptop due to it's bulky cables and the so called braided cable also caused some problems to me(it occur since i bought it).

Added on March 23, 2011, 7:37 pmBTW, i realise that the oddity(uneven switch) of razer BW MAY BE coming from deep pressing(with force) of switch. My arrow down keys originally click normally but after ytd i pressed it forcefully, it become a little like those other faulty-clickly keys...

So, beware those keyboard spammer...

any place here to try out the switches(Blue,brown,black) before we buy?

Okay, may be for those who prefer lighter switch...(those faulty blue are lighter and less bump than normal blue).

Brown should be no, need to find forumers' help.

Between all Cherry MX Switches, Cherry MX Blue has the highest RMA rate.

No offense to Razer, but from what i learn from few keyboard manufacturer staff, Razer purchase refurbish cherry MX Blue from other manufacturer which is not directly from Cherry.

and they still put cherry MX switch on it!

well, u can try black & blue switch in the up coming pc fair
