if u're not going for mechanical keyboards, 250 should be fine.

-microsoft sidewinderX4 around 200+-
-razer arctosa (:S) less than 200
-steelseries ZBoard around 160 or less from Edifier Steelseries stock clearence
-Logitech G110
-ROCCAT Arvo

these should be the ones available in malaysia

Yay can't wait for Leopold to come soon. thumbup.gif It seems that red switches are new here to malaysian mech kb users. Just out of curiosity, are red switches gonna be on par with brown switches in terms of gaming and typing? From what i've found out about red switches, they're like blacks but require less force which is also suitable for gaming and also heaven in typing. Nevertheless, it's something totally new to replace my cheap individual rubber done keyboard. biggrin.gif

I'm sorry to tell you that Mechanical Keyboard doesn't have Macro functions.

Well, they do have, Gigabyte and Razer, These have Macro functions, but for your budget, each of the keyboard is RM280 above, which i don't think you can get with RM250 budget.

For Macros, I'm also a macro user, but i only use macros on the mouse and use a mechanical keyboard instead. so all my macros are relying on my mouse, my keyboard is for NKRO function because of FPS game. but i do play MMORPG, and RTS and other genre of the game, it's just that, sometimes, FPS games, you need to duck, see score, report, reload and jump. that is rare occasion. but when you do it one day with non NKRO keyboard, just hope you won't meet a enemy while you're doing so.

LOL G15's successor early come out already. G510... BTW, not sure if it is a good board apart from 2 major bad heard from reviews:
The rubber dome down there having some problem and some keys need to be pressed forcefully to register.
The backlit is quite dim.

ive read about it also..im not going to get g510~ i rather get g15 because not soo many complain about it..

The Filco red has some odd issues with my Mac. I cant seem to register it properly with my Mac. It requires me to redo the thing everytime I boot up. Annoying.

So far pretty digging the Red. I kinda miss the tactile feel of my BWU and the click. But I like the layout of the Filco better. Filco Blue in the making? Hmm.

Blacks seems to be the favored switch among FPS players.

Holy smokes. The Red is really sensitive. I dont think I have pressed more than half and its already registering. Fuyoo. Also I am so poisoned by this.

Gotta try the different switches mar. And the Tactile pro works fully on the Mac. Which is rather interesting. Might be getting a free keyboard in the future, a new gaming peripheral manufacturer coming into the market.

From the day i changed from BW to brown switch Filco, I can feel the different for the 5g force between blue and brown switch, probably the blue need to pass through the clicky sound make me feel different and I can't really feel the tactile in brown switch at all. It make me feel uncomfortable while typing.
But after sometime, its feel greater than BW without that much of tactile and non-clicky. The only thing i dont like is the spacebar with brown switch. Kinda wierd.... like it is empty inside. LOL

hi guys, looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard (full). going to use it mostly for typing, so most probably will go for either red or brown switch.

will watch this with interest, filco and leopold coming soon to malaysia oh yes!

just out of curiosity, how's the build quality of these two brands?

thanks.

Filco will be more expensive than Leopold.
If you want more on typing, i suggest you get blue switch. It is awesome!
