My 1995 1.5 wira Manual fc is like really crazy bad right now. like 240km, one full tank habis already.

Bring back to Eon Proton to top overhaul, come back one full tank until 320km only. Now hovering around 270km again. It doesn't move very fast either, 120km/h is the max or else the engine going to cry already.

However, I'm also stuck in jams 4 days a week, so dunno if that would affect so much or not.

emm, couples of points to check:
- how many load you have on car (how many ppl)?
- which brand petrol u using? (not sure only me or wat, Shell is having bad FC on my cars)
- when do top overhaul, got change piston ring? got check the ring to cylinder wall clearance? would it be cylinder wall wear off or piston ring wear off causing bad compression rate?
- try full service or overhaul the carburetor. This is the thing i hate most of my wira 1995 auto (besides the 3-speed auto tranny).
- tyre pressure okay? >210 psi?
- tyre alignment okay?
- try don't put any useless stuff/load on the car (like heavy stuff which u dun use everyday)
- do u idling a lot (like waiting for ppl, besides the usual traffic jam)?
- aircond compressor working okay? it got drag the engine or not...

my car is having as bad FC as urs too, even after full overhaul. Same year car, but it's auto. I am driving less than 10km/day, and i step on the accelerator and brake like siao lang, so expected the bad FC.

no offend but any taiko used this before can share experience/user review?
i am skeptical on a few things:
- will the cover (normally plastic), get yellow and blur very fast?
- the beam focusing is good or not?  normally seen on road are those like light beam is like no focus point (bad to other road users eye)...

_________________________________________________________________________________________________
Just gt back from workshop..total lost RM395.. rclxub.gif ori proton logo chop, laminated can be seen on the new screen..

Replace rear chamber nuts/skru (the 1 that lock the rear lower stabilizer arm)..suspected make the car gt kruk gruk sound when go through bumps,holes..will drive and c once gt the car... thumbup.gif

_________________________________________________________________________________________________
Waka waka...the sound of the rear absorber gone d..seems really the chamber nuts/skru be the kruk gruk culprit...(but nw heard the sound from the driver front seat...haizzz....) notworthy.gif Smell the feel of bucket seat... whistling.gif

recommended to those have similar situation with my case, have the nuts be checked rather than the abs/spring/arms... icon_rolleyes.gif

most of the things are light.
idle mostly at traffic light and traffic jam

carb setting could be problem.. the carb itself could be 'dying'.. time to change the carb, perhaps?

im a GSRian. biggrin.gif
1) good engine, spareparts easy to get. overtake car without downshift. tongue.gif , FC better than my 1.5I auto.
2) a bit more than NA. i change engine oil at 3k++, mineral only.
3) engine PNP, no modification needed. JPJ approved.
4) no. since you're ready to do transplant, i would suggest to go for the turbo. for once, try it, and you'll love driving. wub.gif

4g15p injection auto (1.5) to 4g93t injection manual (1.8 turbo)
the transplant rules, you can get it from JPJ (bahagian teknikal).
in brief, 1.5 to 1.8 is OK.. 1.3 to 1.8 cannot.
engine mounting cannot modify, mitsubishi 4g91, 92, 93, even the V6 engine 6A10 6A11 have same mounting. (need some sifu to clarfify), so all these model are ok for wira.

pretty badly, left fender all gone twice, first round car still can move no problem, second time the thing connecting the left wheel to the base of the car crooked.

first one some kembara on the left lane turn right in front of me so my lieft side hit his side, the fender just disintegrated

2nd one some assholes put so oil/sand at a turn, couldn't turn the car so i hit the wall at 30km/h.

So i would say it's pretty much not in good condition.
