My son will be going to Jakarta on a school trip. Like to know whether it is possible for him to use my Priority card to enter the lounge (I will not be going).

If you talking about LCCT and KLIA PPL, nowadays we need to sign a slip, so you want to teach your son it is okay to forge your signature? I am not kidding here.

And the answer to your question - usually they check the card name with the boarding pass, malu only your son if kena chase out.

I was not thinking of my forging my signature etc. Just asking if any one has experienced a unique case where the lounge/card group was kind enough to allow son/daughter to use it on their own without the parent being there.

May be I will ask the card company.

Had a read on the FAQ in Priority Pass web site.

After reading it, I think I better give up the idea of asking them to allow my son to have access to the lounge on his own. PP is a 3rd party company, engaging the airport lounges for their customers.

So, looks like I will be wasting 5 of the 5 free entries this year.

for citibank platinum cardholders, is the complimentary access to the premium lounge still available? can we eat/bathe there as well or do we have to pay for those services?

Yes for KLIA, Langkawi International Airport and Sultan Ismail International Airport (Johor). You can eat and drink all you want for FREE plus take a shower (if the lounge has this facility). I can't remember if the renovated KLIA PPL has shower facility but prior to that yes.

As for LCCT, only the lounge before the Immigration has shower facility but not the one inside the departure hall (by the way, Citi Plat does not entitle you to enter for FREE but you can use your reward points to redeem for "FREE" entrance).

Yes. Most are only 2 hrs. But don't think they will force one out. Never tried more than 2-3 hrs though because it is just a place to relax while waiting for flight.

True, but there will be the ones on transit which have couple of hours to kill.
I think there's once I spent more than 2 hrs in LCCT but no one did request me to "exit" though. Not many ppl there also during then, less than 10.

The shower signage is still there. So they probably still provide the shower facility now.


True. I spent more than 2 hours inside KLIA PPL back in August in the late evening. The lounge was full to the brim as there were many First/Business Class passengers and also SkyTeam Elite Plus members from the Air France and KLM flight leaving for Paris and Amsterdam respectively inside the KLIA PPL that night. There were passengers from Ethiopian Airlines too and the staff did not ask me to leave. There were so many people inside the lounge then. So they probably couldn't tell who has been there for more than x hours anyway.

I think the reason why the staff at KLIA and LCCT sometimes ask for our boarding pass is to check what time is our departure so that we do not overstay and no other reason.

Good thing they never asked for my boarding pass. There were a few times that i just came off an international flight and instead of going straight the the gate my connecting flight back home (domestic) was going to leave from, i went to the PPL at the satellite terminal

if arrival I guess no problems even if you show your boarding pass because you will leave soon after makan Once at LCCT, after arriving from SG, I thought I stop by the PPL for a bite, the staff ask me for my boarding pass and I showed her my boarding pass from SG and she let me in

haha.... sometimes I just brush them off saying haven't collected boarding pass so show IC instead. That is in LCCT because often I reach there to pick up families. So instead of waiting in the car, get down and enjoy some beers. Too bad no smoking lounge in there which I know you will be wishing for it too.

2 weeks back, I sent my wife and children to LCCT, so I took them to the lounge, I knew the staff will ask for the boarding pass so I make sure my wife showed hers. All they need to see is one boarding pass - I guess to check the departure time. Yeah, I had a beer there too

Bro, for a real good relaxing time, I really like SkyView Lounge at Changi T1. Besides the FREE beers. they have FREE liquor, red wine and champagne too And if you go upstairs, they have a "quite room" where they have those chairs where you can put your feet up I am going there very soon



hahaha, you know me too well. I will say that the LCCT lounge before immigration is more spacious and got a toilet but I need to walk damn freaking far to smoke. So usually I go to the one at the departure hall where there is a smoking room next to the escalator but the exhaust fan there is always not working and we smokers there is like puffing 10 sticks all the time Want to die faster, that's the place to be.

No need, just one time entrance fee

I think in some cases the checking isn't very thorough , in Europe as a teenager I used to travel with my father's BA Executive Club card (his name is the same as mine, apart from the middle name) and was never questioned or stopped when using the lounge and even got upgraded a number of times

Although I guess could have got in trouble if they checked the DOB

The only same letterings in my my son's name and mine are the surname letterings. So, cannot use that trick.
