doh.gif  can't put an assumption from the airport, maybe its from previous stalls... but i think Amex now should be able to go in local PPLs right?
*
Nope...definitely from the PPL because my colleague and me had the same food in the morning and lunch. Only me entered the PPL in the evening when we arrived at the airport.

Was asking the guy at roadshow last week about the Premier Miles AMEX. He said both principal and supp card are entitled to enter PPL as they just VIEW the card and wouldnt know if its principal or supp.

I was like "Are you sure?" and he said Yes. But Im not convinced and still unsure. smile.gif

For your info, the staff at the PPL counter swiped my cards (RHB & UOB) and I need to sign a slip of RM0.01/0.00 amount. Can't remember whether it's the same for my old VS premier miles.

bro can explain more on these please?

The PPL staff will ask for your credit card to be swiped. The slip (receipt) will show an amount of RM0.01 (RHB) or RM0.00 (UOB) and you need to sign on it. The same for supp holder too (RHB).

Yeah, I also told him that normally they will swipe to confirm, then he told me from the customer feedback that the PPL staff just nees to see?

Maybe RHB n UOB has limited access thats why need to swipe while Citibank has unlimited access so just view will do? Im not sure though.

I think PPL need to swipe all cards or record them for charging purposes to the respective issuers. There's "no free lunch". It's an expensive privilege and that's the reason for the limitations imposed or specials only to the high end cards. For the priority card system (eb MBB VI) they will allow you to enter no matter what but MBB will bill you if you exceed their quota which is 5 times a year.

never realised that is a forum discussing about this airport lounge entry.

based on my experience,

1. standard chartered priority pass entitle me to enter KLIA, LCCT, HONG KONG, PUDONG, SINGAPORE, INCHEON, NARITA AIRPORT FOR FREE. BUT, 2 WEEKS AGO, I reveived a letter from SCB stated that complimentary entry is limited to twice a year.

2. RHB platinum entitle me for entry into lcct, klia for 4 times a year.

3. UOB INFINITE, so far, i tried in Pudong for 2 times.

Yes, I have no problems using multiple cards to gain entries for my children at LCCT or KLIA.

But not the case with my Priority Pass Membership where Skyview Lounge in Changi T1 won't allow me to use more than one PPMC, but no problems because there are many lounges in Changi. Click here to read how my son and me managed to enter airport lounge in Singapore using two PPM cards.

This comment above is correct.

A simple logic:
The PPL still need to swipe your card because it still needs to collect money from someone. But to the obvious if the bank gives free entry benefits, then the charges wouldn't come to you but towards the bank. If they did not swipe, there is no proof. If there is no proof, PPL will not receive payment. If PPL does not receive payments...errr....you guys can probably figure out the consequences..i.e. closed down due to no revenue. wink.gif

Yes, agree, but simple logic could also mean Citibank paying one lump sum to PPL and the contract might run for maybe a few years that grant unlimited access to all its qualified card??? As I also think its more logical that PPL will swipe the card but it's the Citibank roadshow fellow says not needed, perhaps he "talks" to get card commission, who knows? smile.gif)

actually want to know when is the most annoyed experience when a card sales personnel approach you? For myself its when i was walking along the mall and you politely rejected them but they still insist to continue pushing their product
*
Normally I would just tell them I just cancelled my card last week. I find this reason very effective and they will stop chasing.
