try and check under UPU, there should be a rayuan button somewhere.

but at the moment, we have maxed out our architecture placements. so even if u merayu now, u wont get a placement unless somebody rejects our offer.

Agak how long does it take to know whether rayuan success or not ?

usually about 1-2 weeks after the programme has begun. that's when we know who actually rejected our offers. then we will know how many people we should call for 2nd intake.

and bear in mind, the 2nd intake line-up is huge. just hope ur name is somewhere on top of that list.

Those who get a place in Universiti Awam are not allowed to rayuan.
No hope anymore I guess ? :')

sorry, i think it's still the same. rayuan can only be done IF you didn't get any offers.

hi mr Aza,

you've mentioned the master of architecture open for application in September, may i know how long is the application period? If the term starts in February next year, roughly when we will know the result of the application? Usually will take in how many candidates?
thanks

The application should be open right up to january. Although the interview might be held earlier (around november/december). So get ur applications in early as soon as it reopens again.

Usually u will know the results in a week or two. But this could take up to 6 weeks depending on senate meeting schedule.

Intake is about 15-20 students.

sorry for the late reply. been away for a while.

i did a check, and there was indeed several batches produced by UKM. however, the reason(s) why they didnt get LAM part 2 is unclear to me. but from what i understand, currently they're going for masters and try to go for that accreditation directly.

to qualify for accreditation, the school must at least produce a sizable cohort that would be statistically sound in order to determine that the programme offered meets the standard set. normally this would be around 15-20 graduating students. but we have seen a number as low as 8 students only. basically, if the number is to small, we cant be sure if the students were inherently good before they start or they became good because of the programme.

so at 15-20 students passing, they would be confident enough that it is not a fluke or statistical anomaly.

Hi Mr.Azari, it's great to know that UKM are going for master accreditation. Besides that, I heard that UKM is using BM in teaching and presentation as well as thesis submission, because it is university kebangsaan, is this real?

i dont know if it's a ruling or ongoing practice in UKM, but as far as i've seen, they are more BM-centric than most IPTAs, even UiTM.

thanks for reply

When we send in the applications, is that inclusive of the portfolio as well? Or we will present it only when called for the interview?
Do we need to prepare the research topic?

U can accept civil and immediately write to FAB dean to request a transfer. Then we'll see if anybody turned down the offer, in which we can consider u to fill the spot.

To improve ur chance, u can seek out and persuade a candidate to reject us. Or kill them. Whatever.

Dear all. I have the latest numbers for UTM, and apparently we have some vacancies as some students have rejected us in favour of other unis.

If you are still interested, now is the time to appeal. Contact the Facukty of Built Environement and inform the Dean of your interest.

Hello mr azari.

Ive been a fan of your thread since my spm days. Now this coming september 2016 i'll be in my final year for BSc architecture (part I) UiTM Seri Iskandar. Firstly, i wanna thank u so much for dedicating this thread for those who want to dedicate their life to a life of torture.

As u mentioned, Part 1 graduates must go through a compulsory 6 months period of working experience in an architectural firm to further pursue Part 2. Say i end my final year in July 2017, then i start working in the industry in August 2017, so 6 months including August 2017 till end of January 2018;

is it possible for me to enrol for Master course (Part II) in any public uni for the March 2018 intake ?

Also, what if i start working in September 2017 and 6 months after that would be February 2018, would it still be possible?

Ive heard that like it or not Part 1 graduates have to wait atleast 1 year because they wouldnt make it in time to enrol for a March intake. This is due to graduates having to wait for their universities to issue out their transcripts(?) or something like that which would require alot of waiting. Or was it because the application for the March intake would be closed before theyve finish their 6 months working in the industry? Im not sure but i know its something technical.

As u can see, i dont feel like i wanna wait for 1 year to pursue my Part II unless there isnt any other choice. Can u confirm this?

Also, i heard from a friend of mine which he said one of the staff in the firm hes working for only worked for 6 months then immediately enrolled for Part II course in UiTM Shah Alam. This enhances the confusion in my head
