UTAR is not an accredited school by LAM, if that's what u mean. neither are other IPTS apart from Taylor's.
What does it take for LAM to accredite architechtural program in a univ/college?So you're interested in ARCHITECTURE? Version 3, A guide to becoming an Architect

QUOTE(Stamp @ Jun 8 2012, 12:54 AM) wow the checklist is really long...but to sum up, the school have to provide sufficient architectural education according to the standard set. the students also must be comparable to the rest of the other accredited schools, and their works sufficient enough for practice according to LAM's standards. before the visit can start, the school must produce at least ONE batch of graduates and is running full-time of their own programme (meaning borrowed programmes from other universities dont qualify). for the visit, the board will elect 5 members from the accreditation committee. this automatically rules out anyone related to the school being visited, or any vested interests in them. the school will exhibit the works of ALL their students, from design works to assignments to quizzes. they also need to exhibit their curriculum and syllabus. basically everything the school has to offer to the students, including all the facilities like computer labs, studios, printing stations, library and so on. it's quite long really, but that's the gist of it. |

Is there any accredited archi programmes in IPTS? I've got UCSI, City and Twintech in my mind right now. Are any of these any better than the other?
Thanks! |

Am i getting this correctly? No. I listed all ipt for ur reference. taylor's cillege is the only accredited ipts at the moment. |

i'm not sure. at the moment, interior design 'tumpang' architect's act. if building surveyors dont have their own act yet, i wouldnt be surprised if it's embedded somewhere under architect's act. im pretty bummed to hear that,so BS dun hv part 2 and 3,dun hv exam to become professional. btw thank you for the info,it definitely clarifies things |

Most people said architecture students spend a lot of money to buy materials for projects and stationeries. More like 1k for per semester.
Really? |

RM1k is quite on the high side if u're talking about per semester. normally it should be around RM500. but sometimes it does go up to RM1k, especially when u do 3Dprinting, laser sculpting and so on. or just plain kiasu by printing 30 A0-sized drawings...Really? |
