I would like to ask, anyone using the KIES to connect the phone to PC? I have not actually install it to my PC, so I would like to ask, is it straight forward, just pop in the given CD (got 2 small CDs right?) and follow the instruction will do? What can we do using KIES? When we plug the phone to PC, can we make the phone like USB thumbdrive? Need to install special driver?

Forgot to mention, I tried RockPlayer and Vital Player. Both players will mention that the codec is not found then they play using software decoding. Will try QQ Player for FLV later. BTW, isn't QQ a China messenger?

Install KIES. Plug in phone to PC. PC will install phone drivers (this step will fail if you did not install KIES). Then you can enable USB from the phone for your mass storage needs (drag and drop files via Windows Explorer). KIES got other uses like organise your phone media, etc, but I didn't explore.

My problem is that now my office network can view my Kies under Other Devices! Must uninstall later and see if it removes the USB drivers as well.

I think Danny is referring to Rock Player. Have any owners tried other players?

I saw many shops display the stock..

just bought one(black) this evening from senheng alamanda. rm 999 +rm 12 for membership. if no membership only 1 year warranty.
when i arrive they said stock just came. but they only receive 2 unit for galaxy ace. and should be sold out by now, since i bought one, and theres other person seems interested to buy it.

I decide to wait out this price jacking no stock nonsense...at least until the itch cannot be ignored lol...feel the pain of all the penang bro's and sis' desiring this device!

consumers gotta be cooperative and shouldn't tolerate this kind of seller behaviors. let them jack it up and let them hold the stocks. eventually, we're still gonna be the winner of the price wars.

Go back to the dealer and ask. For me, the dealer register for me. I received SMS to confirm the registration and a call from samsung inform my warranty coverage just start.

i just receive an sms... samsung didnt call me.. unfair
