regarding that, from my opinion, if u set it to never, means your wifi is connected regardless you use it or not (data transfer is alive or not)

whereas when you put when screen turns off, your wifi receiver on your phone cease to work (thus prolonging battery)

IMO, those settings does not affect your phone dieing or not =\ (just an opinion, from what i understand, cuz its the wifi policy, not the phone policy?)

i believe its adw launcher, cuz samsung's launcher has "phone, contacts, messages, and appdrawer/homescreen" remains even when you open the appdrawer.

alrite. lets see.. anyone of you guys feel the wake time for ace is slightly slower than instantly, after pressing the home button?

i've installed several apps/games. and currently according to internal phone memory widget, i've used up 136/185MB.

when the phone is asleep (black screen) i press home button to wake the phone then unlock.. the menu button and back button lights up, but the screen wakes up slightly slower, like perhaps 0.1-0.3 seconds later (just momentarily)..

anyone having the same experience?

QUOTE(iJoel @ Mar 15 2011, 01:48 PM)
Hi guys, when I sync contact with facebook and join contact with some of my friends in my phone book, how do I set the name to the original one as in my phonebook instead of displaying their facebook username?
Because some of my contacts can display the original names after joining with their facebook accounts but some just couldn't..
No idea how to solve it, any ideas?
*
open the contact, menu \ mark as default \ tick the name that u want it to be displayed

that way they tempt u to place a deposit to reserve one stock for you, but when you're fed up of waiting, and decided to let go of the deposit, they earn free bucks. my friend placed a deposit for a lg cookie previously and finally fed up of waiting and decided to forget the 50 bucks and got it elsewhere

oh ya, 1 more thing is about the call logs, i cant seems to categorise those missed calls, dialed no. and received no. like those old phone does. i find it rather difficult in tracking the numbers as it contains sms (in and out) as well... is there an app to manage the call logs?
thanks!

*
menu\view by\ and you can select to see what you want to see

hitting menu always helps

not too sure it will work, cuz i tried with my SE, and then i didnt like it. so what i did was...

the primitive method, copy (using hand), write the name and numbers on to paper.
then re-input the name/numbers back into the phone, then i export the contact list to sd card, it will generate a *.vcf file (vcard file)...
good news is, this *.vcf file can be used in any android phone, so the next time you buy an android, you can just export contact to sd card, and then import it on your new android. =)...
bad news is, it took me 3 hours, just to write and re-input 194 contacts (some with multiple fields, such as home no., mobile no., and 2nd mobile no.).. i dont bother the email as it will sync from FB once your join your phone contact and your FB contact =)
