Hotlink data plan very expensive!! adui.. when maxis want to reduce it ? so kiansiap!

Is there prepaid 3G data plan from Maxis / Hotlink? Am currently having 2 numbers; 1 with Maxis for voice & sms while another with uMobile for data. But uMobile coverage and speed is poor

The problem is 3GB is not enough for me, I can finish that in five working days. My work needs me to move data up and down from exchange server. Tons of heavy documents and pictures. I was looking for atleast 6gb or even more. If only it was possible to take the iPad plan and a phone plan in the same number.

Yes i do it on my ipad. I tether my ipad so any devices around me can use my ipad internet saving the cost of multiple data plans.

Sigh, still need to get a new device.. Defeats the purpose of mobility.. Two devices, two cases, two chargers, two bills.. Thanks anyways. Any other suggestions? Really desperate for humongous data plan for phone.

I got 3 phones and 1 ipad. So i tether my ipad then all devices have internet i only pay RM98. When devices use wifi their battery life can sustain even longer. Ipad battery can last whole day without problem

Any of Hotlink users with data plans having random RM 1 deducted from your balance? Every now and then, I have RM 1 deducted under the category GPRS according to my e-statement and last month I had a total of RM 12 deducted.

It is very troublesome as I need to call Maxis, let them check and only reimburse back to me a few days later.

yes, was very fed up coz whenever i forgot to switch APN and receive MMS I got screwed... my old phone could not delete Maxis APN setting... only can switch to other APN, but whenever I changed sim card it will revert back to Maxis setting.

RM3 = 300 sen = 300kb. Maybe got background sync ke apa? Or maybe the full site was already loaded, just the phone was taking it's sweet time rendering it?

I asked @MaxisListens few days ago whether they plan to reduce data rates. As of now they have no plans to do it, but may happen in the future. I propose we do something about it to push Maxis to offer more competitive data plans/charges. I believe if enough ppl bug them thru FB or twitter, surely something can be done? Or just publicly spam about the horrendous data charges.

Data charges must go down. SMS had. Data has to be next.

or you can go for umobile their dataplan is cheap RM28 for 500MB and if exceed speed drop to 64kbps

same here. I gave up calling their helpline which will charge me more than the rebate I am going to get.

I'm not sure, but pretty sure everytime I use 3G it's bloody expensive.

Any idea where to subscribe for the RM18/month 100MB data plan?
