Thanks dgboy.
But it turns out to be a problem on my end.
I removed the SIM card and slotted it back in several times and the network connection stays up now.
I guess during the extended duration the phone was powered off the SIM contacts must have deteriorated.
It's the same thing I've sometimes experienced with electronic contacts in my PC - slots, sockets and such.
Solution - remove and re-insert.

Hi guys. I am using Youth Club and i know that the first 5 smses of the day are charged 2 sens. However after the 5 sms i am stil charged 2 sens, sometimes randomly between 1 to 3 sens for 1 sms! (less than 160 characters). Anyone experienced this before?

i'm not using YC, yet i do find Hotlink sms charging a bit erratic time to time

like, send one sms to Active 10 and they minus 2 sens instead of 1 sen

then send another sms, and nothing deducting

just keep a check on the overall balance, or view your online statement

i think will be correct in the final amount, if not you better raised up to maxis

Guys as a heavy user since Im an agent, would it be better to change to postpaid? I don't know. I used Digi postpaid before and instead of being cheaper than prepaid, it was way more expensive!!

I'm waiting for Maxis to terminate my Hotlink line on 28 October (50 days from my last expiry date 08 September 2011)

Dial *122#, the message clear enough Service Cancellation Date : 28 Oct 2011

Call 122, it gets blurred.. couple of weeks ago, the computer woman said have to top up within 50 days to avoid loosing my credit, but then the woman goes on to say: if I do not top up within 90 days my service will be cancelled

Today call 122, and the announcement is back to the old 90 days one

Why Hotlink become so total chaos like this?

I'm planning to apply for post paid for my new phone. With data plan included, any better package for entire maxis promotion? Does the calling plan and data plan are separated?
