i think they believe that these 2 model is affordable n hve good specs..

generally dm1 hav better design n altec speaker no usb3.0 and 1215b hav normal design (maybe will thicker) but usb 3.0 available...

n don forget the os..he3..

In Singapore, 1215B comes with E-350 and Win 7 HP and retails for 699SGD. During IT Show, price dropped by 100 SGD.

I'm looking at the 1215B because I:

1. Am an Asus nut
2. Like simple designs
3. Have used the 1215 series before and quite like it
4. Don't like to have a fan constantly whirring

that's my choice first before i decided to bought dm1
by the way...i'm really satisfied with my dm1 speaker...
however harmon/kardon has very satisfied bass....
this altec lansing seem quiet fined by my ears
really loud for such a netbook....

It is, another person here already has it. Says he's very satisfied with it. And E-350's clock is only 1.6Ghz.

So, it's already the 20th? anyone bought the 1215b with the e350 from asus malaysia yet?

i think only cons is heavy lor...other then tat all juz fine for that price..really worth it

saw sg hardwarezone website, some of the shops already ran out of stock, and are restocking.. I hope asus malaysia can get some fast2.

I got my 1215b today~(delivered from USA, I ordered it from Amazon)

After I keep testing it, there is a famous problem in 1215b and 1215N (maybe 1215T too). The touchpad is not working sometimes. Even I update my driver to the latest one. Some people change a new one from Asus, but the problem still exits. Some people has spent a week to find out solution. At the end, there is a guy fix it, and I will do it tomorrow after I finish my work.

The second time I did this I left the PC on so I could test it while wiggling wires. What I found out was the touch pad NEVER messed up while separated from the PC. I decided that the issue was being caused by a pressure point somewhere so after some logical guesses I finally removed the two silver foam like pads/spacers on the PC underneath the touchpad. After 3 more days of use I have not had the issue again.

You only need to remove a few screws and you do not void warranty by opening the PC to that level. I used the instructions below:

as i said ealier this is the 14" asus put in e350 seems to replace 1215B e350, not all 1215, 1015 with C50 only. but this 14" don't have USB 3.0 ... think twice...
