Went to Digital Mall just now to compare acer 4253 and asus K43U

End up buying K43U,so much nicer build quality than acer.

Saw 1215 and dm1z but screen to small to my liking.

cost 1299 with free gifts biggrin.gif

Having very positive experience with the K43U so far.

Cant really find any fault for such a bargain.

RM1299 +
laptop bag(hand carry)
mouse
screen cleaner
earphone

battery life for normal usage(mostly browsing) can last more than 4 hour

So far have been using my K43U for quite extensively. Battery life really is impressive for M.office, browsing, downloads, zipping etc.

Face some lag when downloading, browsing and doing work.

Maybe SSD can solve it smile.gif

i think after seeing dm1 price and i3 sandy bridge 14", better top up to sandy bridge,

however, I know, both is not comparable as one is <12" range and another is 14".

e350 got better graphics
better battery life

My K43U so far with battery saving mode lasted me more than 6 hours on pure microsoft office and browsing. After 6 hours still has more than 30%

Impressive for a 14" laptop.

Oh and dont think having SSD will help since most of the bottleneck is at the CPU side.

Improvements to E-450 includes:

Dual core 1.65ghz with turbo boost
HD 6320 with higher clock speed
1333mhz RAM

and still retaining 18w tdp

No heat issue so far for asus K43U

For people interested in adding an SSD to e-350

Not really worth it

Tested with Intel 510 SSD
