hey guys, i'm going crazy here. i seriously don't know when the Asus 1215B is coming. some threads say it's up for preorder, some shops i called said it's not even in the market and isn't coming to malaysia, can someone help? and it's in the catalog so

hey everyone, i called the Asus hotline yesterday and pestered the woman, and she said it is 100% confirmed asus 1215B with E350 IS COMING TO MALAYSIA. I kept asking her is it true? because some shops, and online forums say it's not coming to Malaysia at all. She told me that these shops are spreading nonsense, and she told me she received information that it has reached Malaysia on the 20th, but since it needs to go from distributor to retailer and all that, so it will only probably be available by Monday.

Good news right? No doubts here guys, I totally pestered her with 'Are you sure?Are you very sure? Are you sure it's coming?" I even asked her about the May June catalogue, she said she doesn't know but no matter what it WILL COME.

Only thing is I forgot to ask got USB 3.0 or not for Msia, can someone call and ask? my credit so low already!

the woman said she wasn't sure but the earliest it should hit the stores would be next week and she asked me to check with the retailers by Monday. i don't mind waiting an extra week since she told me that it is definitely undoubtedly coming to malaysia and the indon model has usb 3.0 so i hope ours do too!

i think maybe it comes really limited. she said we can try to contact the reseller by monday as it should be in the market already by then it reached on 20th but she said laptops take time to reach the stores. and she apologised for the delay when i said i'd been waiting since march!

i just called a computer store, and they said the model is totally "tidak ada" but they tried to advertise 1215P to me. i'm going to call again by Monday. You know, they really shouldn't advertise stuff in the catalogue and then it's not available. They didn't even put TBA in the catalogue. Sighs.

i was thinking of the sony yb if i don't get my asus.. though people say it's plasticky but it comes with free external dvd.. i can't get the hp dm1z though there are so many positive reviews about it.. i just can't stand the design! the hinge part resembles toilet bowl hinge! just the hinge part but it makes me feel like not wanting it already. i know i shouldn't buy laptops based on appearance but still..

i'm hoping the woman is speaking the truth and by the end of this week can get liao if not i really call again and scold.

just called a computer shop. the shopowner said the supplier said stock haven't arrive. it's better than some shops who say this model is unavailable completely in malaysian market

i called the asus hotline, they told me it definitely is, but delayed a bit.

getting mine in a few days. turns out stock arrived edy but all been bought by a supplier for import or what. but my friend managed to nab 1 set for me and now paid deposit edy

i called a lot of stores and they all said wait till middle of may.. then i told my cousin and he went to ask his pc shop friend.. he said "eh stock edy arrive.. i saw it.. just that some supplier bought the whole lot for import.. some other sets are reserved for pre order.. let me try find for you.."

then my cousin said his friend located a set and he help me pay deposit first but i think no freebies because needa order.

think positive, guys.. when you finally get it, imagine how satisfied you'll feel it's too late to give up. if you give up and then the 1215b comes, surely you'll regret not being more patient.. haha..

it's weird isn't it.. seems like the asus 1215b is getting sucked out of our market.. my cousin's friend went to a few of his supplier friends and when they key in the code, surprisingly the laptop is available leh.. means it already is in malaysia.. question is, where is it? and why are all the retailers saying it's not here?

and why must they release laptops with two versions =.= so confusing. and guys, you see right.. for march-april catalogue, there's only the asus 1215b with E350 listed.. DOS.. but somehow there was a C50 version DOS too. and now, for the april-may catalogue, there is only a c50 version.. but this time, it's with windows starter. so it's like.... damn weird

But I don't think Asus hotline lied to me, the woman seriously took a long time checking up the information and finally getting a reply that Asus e350 is reaching malaysia.

distributors all have this model. just didnt pass to seller. some sellers told me they don't want import 12 inch netbook cos tidak laku.
