I'm looking at 1215b as an option for a netbook. The AMD E-350 processor review is promising, and the reso on the 1215b being 1366 x 768 is the primary reason for me choosing it over the acer aspire one 522.

Planning to plonk in a intel X25M 80gb ssd, reading about the case opening is a bit worrying, as it's possible to break the case, but i think the extra speed from ssd is worth it.

Anyone has opened the case and put in an SSD yet?

1215B is using the same chassis as the other 1215 models. Thus far, I don't think anyone here did a swap yet, but I think I might do it when I get a 1215B myself.

Also if you haven't seen it before, the dissection guide for a 1215: http://netbooksreview.net/news/asus-1215n-disassembly/

Saw the acer zacate notebook. big screen battery small not good combination for battery life IMO. It was the primary reason for going smaller screen with without going less than 1366 x 768 res for me.

Anyway, called asus wholesaler, they say no 1215B brought in yet? I was asking a local shop to order one to Kelantan.

Did anyone see it being sold in PC fail Fair? If got, I guess I'll be heading down to buy.

missed this post. thanks, yeah, I round that review already.

Almost bought a acer timelineX, but for my needs I think too overkill, plus the biometric fingerprint is heard to be lousy, so killed that idea.

Apparently only the 1015B is here. 1215B might be coming next month.

New things always comes out, and in netbook segment I don't think performance difference is that much unless there is architectural difference. This looks like a slight clock bump. And that is one of the reason I go full fledged laptop instead of Fusion

It maybe gain 2-5% difference, the GPU is faster but the CPU is holding it down. It's just slightly faster than Atom because out of order execution. Don't buy this for gaming, indeed it can but would it be enjoyable?

The next refresh after the E-450 will be the 28mm Fusion is due for next year. So even with the E-350, it still won't be that obsolete until then.
