dats how seng heng warranty is.they will refer all ur data based on ur seng heng card.1st year by manufacturer n d rest by seng heng.if u got some trouble in 2nd or 3rd year, theyll send to their technician for repair.they may also send to manufacturer back depends.if their technician could not get it done or not worth it to repair ur item, then theyll replace with something new at d same price u bought d item.
dats based on my experienced.last time i bought nec laptop from sengheng.after almost 2years my laptop got mobo prob n send back to sengheng.they said mobo is not worth it to repair hence they give me a new acer laptop at same price.but mind u that it took me almost 3months for process of sending d laptop to them n to get d new unit sweat.gif

I use the application which is already in the phone, i.e. the Task Manager. Go to Application, look for Task Manager in second window of the applications. Tap on Task Manager and a window will open showing Applications running ("Running"), Downloaded software ("Downloaded"), Ram status ("RAM") and Storage. Tap on "RAM" and the message in the window will explain to you what it does. Tap on "Clear memory" box and a message will come up and tell up how many applications have been closed. You will be surprised at the number of applications which are running without your knowledge. As I have wriiten, it works the same way as you shut off the applications in the iphone and ipad. Hope this helps.

hi,

i bought my GT9003 yesterday.
just now I went to a hypermarket's toilet and dropped my phone accidentally.. however the toilet's floor got water trap(or something like that..not sure how to explain), so it's considered "soft".

later i went to a phone accessories groceries nearby (in TESCO Ampang) and ask for a back cover... the shop assistant there I saw used a scissor to fit in my phone inside the casing.. which i wonder why is it difficult since later I can simply put in and out that soft plastic back casing.

back home, i saw the shiny metal at my phone has A DENT!!! argh, it's just bought yesterday and now got a dent already.

i'm yet to receive SMS from Samsung, and i'm not sure whether me who spoilt the phone (but, i doubt, since the dent is at the side, not at the corner, if it's caused by the fall.. and the dent is deep!).

now i'm not sure, whether i've to accept the fact AS IS since i'm not sure by myself. also, i doubt this can be covered in warranty since it can be considered user's faulty, yes?

I use the Task Manager each time I finish using the phone. Helps to reduce battery usage when phone is idle on standby. I recharged the phone yesterday and this morning used wifi, email and checked for software update..found that after that battery fell to 88%. Looks like if you use a lot of functions they really suck away your battery power.

That's why as soon as I bought my phone I bought a Nillkin hardcover and made sure I fixed a strap to the phone. I always hold the phone by the strap each time I use it as it is too slippery to hold at times and you may drop it. I carry the phone also in a pouch fixed to my belt. That way I get double insurance I don't accidentally drop it and damage it. Be safe, brother.

Gingerbread ROM? It heard it has problem with it.

You can try download VLC Player 1st to your phone and check if it's able to play any Mkv or Mp4 contents.

I tried the 3x 100k ohm resistors, it doesn't work at all. I am not sure if it's I doing it wrong or it's simply just can't.

hey man, thanks.
btw, can you point out where to get that hardcover?

also, is it possible to find the new phone housing (i don't mean the backcover).. meaning if possible to get a new shiny metal - front cover.. saw in internet but it seems including the LED.. meaning it must be that way? (more money??)

--

i want to make a video call to my wife who's using Samsung Galaxy Tab - which also has front camera.
but the call keep rejected.

is it possible to active video call over wifi? do we have to use data plan for video call?

since i only activate my internet on wifi.. not subs to any mobile broadband plan

I bought mine from Nova Cell, Subang Parade, located on the ground floor. You can't miss as it is in the middle of the open space, just in front of the shop that sells croc shoes. There is a selection of black or white costing RM45 when I bought mine. Dunno of other colours. As for new housing, I dunno if any shop has it as the phone is still quite new.

My Papago X5 crashes during navigation, but is fine when it's just tracking my position without any routing to any destination.
Anyone here experienced the same thing?

By the way, how to kill the in-built web browser without the hassle of switching to Task Manager and killing it from there?

same mine also crash (once in a while)....but of course i am not using the ".Pxxd" version...u know wat i mean....

but i can just go back into the application...immediately i am continue from where i crash....GPS also detect immediately so not really a problem.....

Guys,

true enough....u must use the task manager to kill all apps and clear memory....especially u plan to hibernate your phone at nite while sleeping...

really save a lot batt....

last time...it burn few times faster of batt after i wake up the next morning...

but after i use tat method ie kill all apps + also the clear all memory ...my batt only down by a mere few percentage,,...after whole nite...

and normally when u clear all memory.....your ram should be only 215ram +/- against total available ram...

Yeah, I'm aware of that and hate them for being so slow to update their X5 to the latest android.
Heard they will not have update for froyo or gingerbread, feel like cheated on buying the copy.

I use moboplayer can play mkv. 720p video can play also, but lag, I think this hardware limitation.
