Just bought 1 at SenQ for RM1199 for 3 yrs warranty.
First time ever in my life that I feel worth buying stuff at those SenQ, SenHeng, HSL type of shops

I bought at Penang. Even at the branch, the price tag still at RM1699, but when i ask them about the price reduction, it was RM1299 in their system.
And currently is their members day, so if u join as their member, they will further deduct RM100 for u from the points u get from the purchase.

So i feel is very worth it since most of the LYN sellers sell 1150-1200 with 1 year warranty

What u mean by replace with m7.1? Means u use Papago m7?
How is the x5 in galaxy SL? Accurate and fast?

The rm100 only valid for their member day period, it is until end of May so I heard.
U must either join as their member with RM12 or if u gave existing membership also can

Really hard to find casing for this phone outside

depends on how u use, every smart phone batt life is short if u keep on wifi, gps, play games etc.
for me, it is satisfying at the moment, might looking for custom ROM in the future to improve the batt life.

i bought it at jusco bandar perda, penang. there is a senq there.

btw, want to confirm with others that bought from senq/senheng, there is no warranty card in the box right?
senq had took it so any future warranty claim have to go through senq, this is the disadvantage buying from senq i think as direct claim from samsung will be faster.

I thought if u buy from SenQ, u can claim from any SenQ store?

Heard from one of the hp accessories seller, this model is released to temporary replace Galaxy S, due to the shortage and price hike of AMOLED panel. So not sure when it will be discontinued, and accessories for sure won't be as much as Galaxy S

Anyone had problem with wifi?
The signal is very weak compare to my previous HTC Magic and Iphone 3GS.

It couldn't even connect to my network. It is due to my network had WEP security?

no case or cover. no warranty card too.

only phone, charger, usb cable, and handsfree.

Not yet root. I'll wait for more custom ROM to mature then only will root + custom ROM.
I used to play a lot with custom ROM when i'm using HTC Magic, lazy already.

not much lag, play angry birds ok. GPS ok.
but i dono why i can't connect to my home wifi.

Normal Wifi, not stimix router.

I wonder why, my previous phones all connect no problem

For AMOLED vs SC-LCD, i did compare both Galaxy SL and Galaxy S side by side (lucky me they got both demo set), i don't really like the AMOLED.

At 1st i tot might as well top up a bit and get the AMOLED, but after i saw it, i dun like it, the color seems too fake.

I also just bought some Nokia pouch that can fit i9003 nicely for RM15. lol

The Papago X5 actually is compatible up to Android 2.1 only. Of course it can be use on Froyo and Gingerbread but it will have some compatibility issue.

I feel the Galaxy SL getting a bit lag this morning when i wake up.
It's stock ROM worse than the one in HTC. This is the first time i experienced Samsung stock ROM.

Need to wait custom ROM more mature.
Anyone try the rooting with SuperOneClick in XDA? I couldn't get it work.

HTC sense is smooth but also will getting lag if long time didn't do power cycle but it is better than Samsung.
Miss my HTC Magic that got a lot of cooked ROM support.

I think it is pretty much confirm that gingerbread will be released. Just a matter of time only.

Gps i found it was pretty good on my unit even without any fix. Use with papago x5.

Battery is pretty average. Not the worst and not the best

Canpm me how u do it? I try on 2 different pc also failed. Not sure is driver problem or not
