Last time my dad bought a LCD tv from HN and got a refund when he found out another shop sells it at a lower price... But the TV was not open though...

cmon guys, if i go by this logic, everytime i buy a nokia and the next month a new model with better specs comes in, should i ask for a refund? Apple launches products on a yearly cycle often in the same timeline, as in september/october = ipods, july=iphone, march/april = ipad, a simple google search of ipad 2 a few weeks ago will point you to the right websites. cheers.

I will blame Apple for all the confusion its created .. They shouldn't announce the US$100/€100 refund at all..

Another reason to buy online I guess, do you know that you could return your purchase for a full refund if you decide to do so within 14 days? I didn't know this until someone in MBP thread managed to get his refund/replacement MBP that he bought a week before the current MBP went on sale.

i think in his case, its the new MBP that was strong enough a reason to get a refund, but if suka suka want to refund just because u dont know how to use, cannot la.

nope, u are wrong, YOU CAN ASK FOR A REFUND IF U ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT. but of course, the refund thing is a 1 time thing la. don't tell me u go buy a MBP, then ask for refund after u play with it for 3 days. then buy another iPod Touch, did the same thing, of course Apple won't layan you. But if u are sincerely not happy with the product offered, you can ask for a refund, Apple might charge you 10% of the purchase price as the open box fees, but this is on a case to case basis. a refund is definitely possible, just depends on Apple wants to charge u the 10% or not.

what i mean is, u can ask for refund even no new macbook launch... its their policy to offer a 14 days cold period because the Apple Online store is following US style.
It all depends on the customer. From Apple's perspective, as long as a cust call in and wants to return the unit because they are not happy with it within the 1st 14 days, they will refund it. but anything after 14 days, i am sorry to say that u are stuck with it. too bad. even the new iPad, iPod or Mac is launched on the 15th day of your purchase, then there is nothing that they can do. so your not need to have a valid reason to ask for refund on the 1st 14 days, just say u don't like the product, pay 10% open box fees, and u get your money back. simple as that.

I don't know why he don't understand what you're saying.

Basically what Apple policy is, within 14 days, you can return your purchase and get back 90% of your purchase price without even giving a single
reason.

Anyone could not understand this should just get headshot.

i had a friend whom returned the unit on the 15th day to get a refund, he explained as nicely as possible and they sent DHL to pick it up, what i menat much much earlier with suka suka tukar is those who refund for the sake of refunding without doing any research whether their purchased item might be useful for them or not, as they stand to loose 10%, its a big amount if you CTO a Mac Pro for example, so its a loss on their part not that apple wouldnt want to refund the balance 90%. My bad for being not clear earlier.

First, Apple didn't announce this at all, go to apple.com/hotnews to check it out whether any such news been officially announce by apple?

All the news, media, report you need is from 3rd party, not from Apple. So, you need to differentiate this.

It does stated in consumer laws, but consumer laws is the guideline, there must be a valid reason, valid argument.

As Lester explained clearly, refund, Apple will provide the refund so long it's within the 1st 14 days.

Aye just got refund USD 100 from apple online. I bought it in 18th February but they only pay next month means by April they will debit into my credit card. Only takes 5 minutes to do it. Need to call them though and it is not done automatically else it will be forfeited.

Apple Store Malaysia to refund price difference for iPads

Apple Store Malaysia has confirmed that they are making refunds to those who purchased their original iPads online recently. We called their hotline to verify and they mentioned that they will pay back the price difference with the new slashed pricing. Last we checked, the difference for the iPad Wifi version is RM350 while the iPad 3G version is RM400.

To qualify, your purchase must not be made more than 14 days before the iPad 2 announcement on March 3rd (Malaysian time). If you’re one of the online shoppers that bought recently, you can call 1800-80-6419 for more info.

For those who purchased on ground at the retail outlets, you are advised to check with them at the stores. To check out the current price, head to Apple Store Malaysia iPad page.
