QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Mar 4 2011, 08:04 PM) as long the person u want to focus is more than 5 meters, just put it into infinity & shoot away or use smaller aperture, really no need to focus with the 8mm samyang |

QUOTE(kopitiam @ Mar 4 2011, 08:07 PM) as long the person u want to focus is more than 5 meters, just put it into infinity & shoot away that would be a wrong way to do it. that case, your near subjects will not be sharp. using hyperfocal, setting it to focus at 1 meter at f/4, everything from a few inches in front of the lens all the way to infinity will be in focusor use smaller aperture, really no need to focus with the 8mm samyang |

Izzit normal? if you are asking about the SSM/USM in lenses, then YES,they are faster & more quiet than screw driven lenses. For SAM,I feel the AF speed is same or sometimes lower than screw-driven motor in lens is faster than motor in body?
