hi, which mode are u in? if u are in auto mode, it will overwrite the iso to be auto, it wont be iso100. auto will go from iso100 to 1600.

you only can adjust the iso in PASM mode. and to me, the photo, i think u set DRO too high, it has weird skin tone. it could be DRO that bring out the noise. check it pls.

its a first time i heard iso100 have noise.

I got a noob question:

Last Sat I went to Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011 @ Putrajaya. While I set up tripod to shoot for the fireworks, I saw this guy with 5DM2(or 7D perhaps,I didn't see clearly) + 70-200 f2.8, standing around 5ft from me. He started to blast the shutter with high FPS, be it at 8 or 10 fps (I know cause it's faster than my A550@7fps), using HAND HELD while shooting fireworks.

So my question is: What kind of photo was he trying to make? Is it he will compose the photos later in pp? Like stacking all the photos? I couldn't understand this & find it quite silly to shoot fireworks in high fps.

Maybe he is trying to do time laps video, similar to what we were doing in the last thread. It should be a 7d as 5d mii can only do 3.9fps.

Unless porkchop is moving on to ff now or very soon, (which is not wise considering that Sony might announce the a99 next year. 135mm is too long for cropped sensor. Very hard to use indoors. The 85mm is more flexible. You may choose to pick up the 135mm in the future as ou could choose owning primes which are 50mm apart. Such as 35mm, 85mm and 135mm. =]

But looking at A99 which might turn up late next year the price might be steep as compared to the current FF.. right? Since when A900 first came out its around 8k plus.

I like #11 also, it's very unconventional, but works.

#9 and #17 good angle, and the grass in front of #16 really helps. The picture wouldn't be as nice without that out-of-focus grass blade. Of course, would be great if you Photoshopped out the bridge in the back!

I see you saved the best for last - #1. Okay so it doesn't look like her so much here, but that's the challenge that photographers have - you can either make someone look exactly like they do in real life, or make them look totally different. Try both!
