Newbieeeeee: Hmmm I can't remember if the A230/A330/A380 did that also. Does it do that on the A550 also? Have you tried with another 50mm F1.8 DT SAM or other SAM lenses?
blowsh: The Tamron has weaker magnification (1:4.5x) compared to the Minolta 35-70mm F4 (1:4x). I would guess the Minolta does better but you should try it. Nice shot, quite abstract. Could use minor brightening in the bottom part though. fansoption: You mean tethering as in, the computer sets the aperture/shutter speed? Nope, not on the A550/A55 but it exists for the A700/A850/A900. However we can plug the Live View from A550/A55 to HDMI to a TV. shukrie: Nice, though I prefer the greens on the side to be as bright as they are in the center. mastering89: Wah I gotta try that sometime with my fisheye and a 1.5x teleconverter that I rarely use. |

I would guess the Minolta does better but you should try it. yeah...borrowed a raynox from a fren...tested it n minolta did give a better "macro" then tamron, but i found it hard to fit in the minolta as it comes with a 49mm threat. even with the adapter, it looks like its gonna fall off with a slight knock. do i need a step up ring on the lens?Nice shot, quite abstract. Could use minor brightening in the bottom part though. i also notice that the bottom part is a bit dark, anyway, i usually post direct from camera, as i seldom do PS much... another question on PS, if i brighten it up, will it cause other parts of the images to be overexposed? |

mastering89: The first lens he is using for the blue butterflies looks like the ZD 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 "double" SWD. 1:03 is the ZD 8mm F3.5 probably with a TC since the angle of view isn't like a diagonal fisheye.
blowsh: No it won't if you Google "digital graduated ND". |
