Yeah totally forgot about those!

Extra inclusions include lowering springs, stiffer anti roll bars!

Tested the Golf GTI today, the experience of driving that machine just got stucked in my head since afternoon. What a machine...
I don't know about other people but for me, so far this is the best car I've ever driven.
It started off with the S mode, which I've mistakenly shifted and I didn't realize until the SA told me. I stepped on the pedal and it went all the way so fast, and it was seriously exciting.
I'm just not used to the brakes, a bit too sensitive for me. Other than that, it is awesome.
Got an offer for more than 10k discount and interest rate is around 2.6%. I'm not sure the other offer which have much lower interest, 0.5% and lesser discount.
Initially was keen on the TSI but after tested the GTI, I almost forgotten about the TSI, as if it never existed. LOL!

U'll get used to the brakes lah. GTi is of course more powerful than the TSI, but then again, it is 40k more expensive wor. More expensive car, more expensive roadtax, insurance and things like that.

Wah ... major poison blush.gif

Anyways, read your website (great one by the way) and I am quite interested in the Sierra Glow treatment.

How much did it cost you and how is treatment so far? Still doing it's job after 6 months?

Despite what I just said, I'll probably do the Sierra Glow thingy first ... then followed by window tinting ... then followed by the Head unit upgrade ... then followed by the Golf R rear lights ... then followed by the front DRL's ... then followed by bankruptcy ... then followed by stealing money from a bank ... then followed by 18" rims and tyres ... then followed by ECU Remap ... then followed by .................................. rclxub.gif

You should stop when you are bankrupt cause technically the car is no longer yours. So no point keep modding it.. tongue.gif

Yea, I agree that it is kinda overpriced.
But overall it is worth the price, also the resale value is kinda good.
Somehow, I'm still considering, TSI or GTI? Hmmm...
But... GTI is poisoning!! arghh!

The Golf R kit isn't cheap. Saw on Motortrader today, cost RM11.5k for the entire Golf R conversion kit.

I saw in the other forums, people were selling from RM2500 (just the rims alone) to around RM4500 with tyres. But most of them are outdated (the WTS posts)

Yep, I got mine for about RM2.6k for the rims itself. It from a previous MK5 owner whom he repainted it to look like MK6 Detroits.
I know someone who is trying to sell MK5 detroits. If you interested to know, PM me for more info. smile.gif

Mind sharing pics of how they look like on your car?

Was considering this as one of the mods but quite reluctant to move up to 18" due to cost and ride comfort considerations.

Cheers bro.
