QUOTE(Mavik @ Feb 23 2011, 01:20 PM)
Phaser, can you include in the 1st post GTI MkV n MkVI as well as EOS, Tiguan and Tuareg? At least we include all VW cars as well (can include the old Polo, Beetle, Cross Polo and Golf MkIV)
*
I was thinking of doing that but seems there isn't enough space sweat.gif

QUOTE(makaveli @ Feb 23 2011, 02:03 PM)
this Scirocco were just awesome.
My friend bought last month,totally.
i mean the look...
*
the looks is good, it is pretty fast too brows.gif

QUOTE(gtoforce @ Feb 23 2011, 02:45 PM)
i just disagree with having the 4 door gti in malaysia
they should also bring in 2 doors hatchback
like how europe has 2 door swift sport and 2 doors golf gti
*
tax problem i have to say
imagine 4 dr gti is 209k
but say 2dr gti 240k who wanna buy?

perhaps grey importers should bring in these rare cars
manual GTI drool.gif
2 dr GTI smile.gif
fully spec GTI ie:18" rims, RNS510, leather, reverse cam, auto park, 2 electric seats etc. drool.gif

hi all, will join the club soon! booking done, loan approved, car coming early april (tornado red gti biggrin.gif)!

QUOTE(azxel @ Mar 2 2011, 02:29 PM)
just tested the Polo... I must say it's a really nippy car!
It goes up to 100 really fast shocking.gif
Corners at 80 really better and firmer than a Fiesta (IMHO)... I took both cars on the same corner but the Fiesta didn't give that confidence when taking that same curved 90 degree corner...

My only gripe is that ride is a bit stiff, it really is a basic car without much frills inside (except for the many airbags and nice engine), no iPod connectivity as well...
*
stiff ride? compared to what? i think a mini should be more stiff
not to mention the polo comes with puny 15", that helps in terms of ride comfort

QUOTE(Mavik @ Mar 2 2011, 04:37 PM)
Tiganasfx is correct here. Yan you can tell your SC that they are just bullshitting you.

Say that when you booked the car via the brochure, the brochure shows the car with 18" rims.

Wow that is fantastic indeed! Mine has never passed the 560km mark sad.gif
*
laugh.gif lol indeed

QUOTE(futobuta @ Mar 2 2011, 09:48 PM)
Comes with DRL or not also nevermind la.... u buying it not for that feature also. Not every car looks nice with DRL anyway. I still think Audi looks the best with it. The new E-Class punya DRL sucks.
*
audi a4's DRL is nice, the A6's one sucks

QUOTE(pelvin @ Mar 3 2011, 11:35 AM)
wow..its good and bad news. good news for people who are going to buy a passat and bad news for people who already owns a CBU passat.. sames goes to other future CKD models like Golf GTI. Imagine is around RM130k on road nextime, malaysia will be flooding with more GTI users..
*
QUOTE(pelvin @ Mar 3 2011, 11:58 AM)
but from RM220,000  > RM154,000 around 70k difference wor.. so if they CKD GTI, Scirocco would be around that price range also rite
*
bro, passat CC and golf gti which are on sale currently is not going to be CKD

this passat (non cc) is the new one which will be ckd, so no current users are going to be affected

I saw in the other forums, people were selling from RM2500 (just the rims alone) to around RM4500 with tyres. But most of them are outdated (the WTS posts)
*
QUOTE(mikelee @ Mar 14 2011, 12:28 AM)
Yep, I got mine for about RM2.6k for the rims itself. It from a previous MK5 owner whom he repainted it to look like MK6 Detroits.
I know someone who is trying to sell MK5 detroits. If you interested to know, PM me for more info.  smile.gif
*
oh so it's a used one? rm2600 for all four? as i know last time in jalan 222, detroits selling for 2.6k

just asking as i just got my 17" denver painted to mk6 detroits, only for rm500. it looks nice in darker lighting
basically getting both benefits of denver and detroits tongue.gif

Mind sharing pics of how they look like on your car?

Was considering this as one of the mods but quite reluctant to move up to 18" due to cost and ride comfort considerations.

Cheers bro.

Nice!!!!!, and I have to agree with wira1979, the rims look shinier than normal, mind sharing how much are the total cost bro?
*
yes indeed the silver part is also painted/machined not so sure of the right word. this color is similar to 18" detroits mk6, while the mk5 on 18" detroits have dark gray on the inside
side by side comparison 17" denver vs 18" detroits
