There are a couple of things you all need to note as well.

When they say you are getting a 2011 Golf, you need to make sure that it is a manufactured date 2011 rather than registered in 2011.

Also in car manufacturing, there are certain periods (end of the year) where it is made for the following year. For example, December manufactured models are deemed to be 2011 as well.

Hence there are differences.

Otherwise, I think those without DRL's and you are paying the same rates, have been conned.

Yeah is true..
It's quite weird the Cars come in the same batch (same shipment), but some have DRL, some without DRL.
What I think is ... without DRL = Manufacture in December 2010 but deemed as 2011 model
With DRL = Manufacture in year 2011..

Yeah Bluescreamer mentioned that a couple of months back. He was trying to find people who are interested in it and if he could get a few people, he can get discount from the DK Tuning fellas for a group buy.

There are several stages depending on which car.

TSI - Stage 1 only available

GTI/Roc2.0 - Stages 1, 2, 3

Prices can range from RM2700 (some custom remaps are cheaper) to the most expensive is the official ABT one from the ABT showroom in Glenmarie, which is around RM6k.

Other more popular remaps (you can check the VW Golf forums) include
- APR
- ABT (mentioned above)
- MTM
- Revo

There are quite a fair bit of other brands as well, for example, in the UK, there is a group called VW Racing and they have their own stage 1 remap and its covered by the VW warranty there!

Btw no such thing as not voiding the warranty. If they want to find out they can.

That said I want to do it too .... soon biggrin.gif
