To those who booked their TSI or GTI, is there any discounts offered?
Also the interest rate for the loan. I was told that it is around 2.6% and only 2010 GTI has the 0.5% interest rate for the first 3 years.

Tested the Golf GTI today, the experience of driving that machine just got stucked in my head since afternoon. What a machine...
I don't know about other people but for me, so far this is the best car I've ever driven.
It started off with the S mode, which I've mistakenly shifted and I didn't realize until the SA told me. I stepped on the pedal and it went all the way so fast, and it was seriously exciting.
I'm just not used to the brakes, a bit too sensitive for me. Other than that, it is awesome.
Got an offer for more than 10k discount and interest rate is around 2.6%. I'm not sure the other offer which have much lower interest, 0.5% and lesser discount.
Initially was keen on the TSI but after tested the GTI, I almost forgotten about the TSI, as if it never existed. LOL!

U'll get used to the brakes lah. GTi is of course more powerful than the TSI, but then again, it is 40k more expensive wor. More expensive car, more expensive roadtax, insurance and things like that.
*
Yea, I agree that it is kinda overpriced.
But overall it is worth the price, also the resale value is kinda good.
Somehow, I'm still considering, TSI or GTI? Hmmm...
But... GTI is poisoning!! arghh!

There are a few places that sells and installs the 510. I'm getting the candy white GTI. Most probably getting mine from FA Wagen 222 though I'm still scouting from different dealers for the best deal. I've not booked mine yet, planning to do so this weekend. If you've not booked yours, perhaps you can PM me, we could purchase together and see if we could get a better deal. If there's anyone else out there thinking of booking your VW soon, we could gang up and negotiate for a bulk purchase discount ;-)
*
I'm also considering between GTI and TSI.
But I guess I wont be booking so soon until my current car gets a firm deal. sad.gif

Well, that decision is a personal choice. If you can afford it, go for the GTI. I've test driven both cars many times and the GTI is a whole different animal altogether.
*
Not sure man, gotta do some calculations.
I've driven both TSI and GTI too. GTI is not only powerful but it also looks cool in every angle.
On the other hand, TSI looks a bit too auntie-ish. TSI to GTI conversion in terms of outlook, it's still better to have the real thing. hmm.gif

Booked my Candy White 2011 GTI. First few things to do when get the car, get a good tint and then possibly do Sierra Glow. Then install RNS and rear LED. Then dont look back anymore...  rclxms.gif

Congrats man biggrin.gif
I'm booking my GTI soon too. Probably getting the 2010 stock.
Wondering if there's any candy whites left.
The other day my friend told me there's only 1 left. Hopefully it's still available.
BTW, mind sharing when will the 2011 stock coming in? Heard there's still no ETA yet.
My friend too didn't dare to confirm, in case his customers are blaming him for giving any empty promises.

What is the best deal for 2010 GTi?  2% off and 0.5% interest rate?

2011 model comes with front and back LED light?
*
I'm not sure about the 0.5% interest rate but for sure it's only applicable for 3 years of loan.
From what i know, LED tail lights are only available for Adidas version of GTI and Golf R.
Other than that should be just normal tail lights.
Most probably the 2011 model of GTI comes with DRL just like the TSI but it is still not confirmed.

u service in FA Wagen 222 or other branches.. good service? i bought from veemer but i saw their service centre in old klang road like "Ah Kao" work shop only..
*
Haha! Yeah, veemer's sc really gives me the cheapish feel and it's really small.
I think my friend's workshop near my place has more space than that sc.
I wonder if it's just a temporary place for them to service vw cars.

BTW, I'm just wondering how's the GTI fc like?
I'm curious as vw claimed that it is really good in fuel efficiency.
Anyways, I don't think I'll get to resist to tekan on the pedal when I get my car. tongue.gif

You already know the answer bro... heavy footed ur fc's gonna suffer.
*
Yea, what I meant was the normal fc of an average driver would drive.
My current car's fc kinda sucks too even I drive properly like cruising 120km/h on highway all the way to SG from KL.

oh...berapa inci? 17? real ones are 16 only ?
*
Because VW also knows that the 16" on the TSI looks fugly, that why in their brochure they show you the 18" rims.
Even GTI's brochure shows the car with 18" Detroit instead of the 17" Denvers.
But still, GTI only comes with 17" Denvers.
In some other countries they have different specs for all models, so you can choose what you want.
Here you can only choose between GTI and TSI. doh.gif

Type R my bro driving... I still want it most, but I can't afford petrol lol...

Golf may be good, but after test drive the DSG (2nd gear dunno why) and handling fails me, and ICE also... Other wise are good... Just want a powerful yet FC good car...
*
Dude, whats wrong with Golf's ICE? Didn't test on the TSI's ICE but GTI's ICE sounds OK to me.
But to my understanding, TSI's and GTI's ICE is same hmm.gif

BTW, high rev NA engines like Type R's has bad FC. At least FD2R has better FC than the old B series VTECs.

Smoke them lor.. should be no issues  brows.gif

It should be when if u're driving through custom.
Usually they wont bother to check. (M'sia custom) At least for me, they didn't even wanna look at me doh.gif
Try not to catch their attention with ur fancy ride, loud exhaust and all the other ah beng's stuff.

futobuta,
You should really consider to sell off ur GTI and get a Polo instead =)

I think the passat cc looks really good from the front. But the rear does not look that nice to me. Anyway, all this..... personal preference lah. For 243k, u can't even get a new basic model C class Merc.
*
For that price range, Audi A4 1.8T is an option too. In fact, it's slightly cheaper.
Although spec wise the Passat CC is better, remapping the A4 could make it better than Passat CC biggrin.gif
Plus, A4 makes you look younger too tongue.gif

Went up Cameron Highland today. My first time in 3 yrs time. The road was so bumpy. Noise were coming out of the car, left right and centre.... wah... so ganas until I gave up trying to locate the origin of those noises.  rclxub.gif Tomorrow will bring my baby to the service centre to check them out. Switched the DCC to "Comfort" and things got a lot better. Usually, I put it at "Normal", but today cannot tahan..... especially taking the road from Cameron Highland to Tapah. Wow.... macam rally. sweat.gif
*
Seriously, I've tested GTI twice and I don't feel any differences between the 3 modes. lol!
Maybe I'll try on bumpier road when I get my car.
Roads here near my place really macam rally.

Am planning to let go my Denvers and get 18" Detroit too. Any more jalan?

I was wondering, since I still got a P, and  cant test drive a gti,

can I ask u owners of gti whether I could find an mk5 or mk6 with stick shift??

Im used to manual and got more nice to play with then those thing at the side of ur steering wheel, i think they call it paddle shift???
*
There's no such thing with stick shift and paddle shift.
GTI is only available in DSG auto with Paddle Shifters in Malaysia.

defnose,
If u're keen to get GTI u can PM me. I have friend working in VW, i just booked 1.

thx for the info... then golf is not the car for me sad.gif

If u can afford a GTI and don't like it becoz of it's DSG auto transmission u can always go for something like the Mazda 3 MPS but unfortunately there is no test drives available.
MPS is a good car but it's not much practical to me since it's only available in Manual tranny.
Otherwise go for Evo or Impreza biggrin.gif
