Hi, I have an indon contact who can do tiling work at RM 2.50 per sq feet (labour only without hacking prev tiles)..
his work is good..you can check this website for some of the work he has done (i helped him do a simple website, still under construction)
No pic of tiles uploaded yet but can see his other work finishing..
The kitchen cabinet pic is at my house which he also did..
You can call me @ 016-301 3936..i'm helping him manage customers..
This guy are based in Puchong, so anywhere in Klang Valley should not be a problem for them..

Finally I decided and pull the tiles job from existing contractor and pass to other tiles specilist.

Reason been
1) SInce my leaving room is replacing 2 x 2 tile, hence can't relay on top of existing 1 x 1 tiles either short or long term
2) Possiable of foot injury as the 2 x 2 edge designed was 90 degree type and no rounding egde protected, whereby 1x1 or 1x2 have a round edge. So if unbalance on the surface work it may injury our leg when walk.
3) Difficult to get balance if laying on top on the exisitng tiles with 2 x 2 (refer item 2), hence hacking away is a better solution
4) mixed of existing tiles area and new area

Also, the labour on this tiles specilist (I didn't told me the cost I been charge) is much more cheaper compared to existing contractor which charge me RM 5.50 sf for Wall / Floor, and skarting was RM 3.50 sf for in house / RM 3.80 for car pourche, if hacking involve will charge differently. Example hacked of existing 600sf area he want additional RM2K.
The tile specilist charging is RM4.50 sf for lay tiles and RM 6.50 for area that require hack existing tile out and replaced it and nd skirting is RM3sf. (Price included everything like material / rubbush ...exclude tiles)

I may be like a sucker shakehead.gif pulling the work out from the contractor, but some time just need to ensure we pay $$$ is a good reasoable way lol

The labour cost (chinese workers) that I received is

a) RM3.20 per sq feet for 2 feet x 2 feet tiles
b) RM2.50 per sq feet for other dimension of tiles
c) RM2.00 per sq feet for other dimension of tiles that not required cement base

All the materials I bought myself...Hacking prev tiles is RM80 per 100 sq ft...Skirting is RM1.90 per sf...

Is the price ok? or can I get cheaper price (chinese workers) than this?

thanks

Bro,
It is existing contractor which want to charge me additional 2K if I want to removed existing tiles. and the tile specilist charging RM2 for sf, hence cheaper RM800.
Yes, RM 3 sf for skiring which also cheaper 80 cents compared to initial contractor.

Today they start hacking my area, and almost 3/4 of exisitng floor tiles been removed and non on existing wall tile broken at all (Kitchen area)...suppressing to me, which even previous contractor indicated problem / issues since never happen at this stage.

I can give you contact number but I can't promise that you can get the same price or not...and he will start doing my whole house tiling this week and I don't believe he manages to accept any job at the same time because he will do the task by himself...Let me ask him first...will get back with you all later...

In my case to hack and disposed rubbish from condo rm2/psf.
So if included the 6.5psf to lay new 2x2 tiles....it almost 8.5psf for condo job.
