Went to Jalan Ipoh earlier today, got qoute from some tiles less than RM20.. some even less than RM15 for 2x2.
Called my tile sifu, and suggest me go with Feruni coz of its quality. So I went to their PJ (HQ) showroom they told me avg pricing would be RM30-40+ for 2x2. I just need 12 pcs for redoing my kitchen top. So it wont be too expensive. Just wanna check with you guys if that price is ok and what do you think? Added on June 2, 2011, 8:06 pmAlso would like to add, the Feruni product consultant mention after I asked that Anti-stain feature usually last abotu 6 months. Anti-stain feature is just to protect tiles during renovation. True? This post has been edited by iv'N: Jun 2 2011, 08:06 PM |

On this I have been quoted for MYR1.5 per sq ft for hacking, MYR 5 per sq ft installing tiles (2x2) and MYR 3.5 per sq ft installing tiles (1x2)
Meaning here is MYR 20 for 1 tile (2x2). included are cement, sand and rubbish management. What do you think guys? Please feedback for me. Really appreciate some info on this; Thanks in advance. Added on June 3, 2011, 4:46 pm QUOTE(1ullaby @ Feb 28 2011, 06:53 AM) After reading this thread I felt the quotation I got is so expensive! Well I got a quote of lumpsup per bathroom including tiling, fittings, plumbing, WC and waterproofing for MYR2500 do all. What do you think guys?I have bathroom totalling 350sf floor+walls and the contractor wants to charge me RM2800 for labour + hacking. That works out to be RM8 psf : ( Although he mentioned that water proofing will be done, still ... Do you guys have any contractors contact that can do a more reasonable price?? Added on June 3, 2011, 5:14 pm QUOTE(wrb7878 @ Mar 1 2011, 03:39 PM) yeap..in term of cost sure 2'x2' is much more higher. Well, usually the cost is base on per sq feet and price is different for 1x2 or 2x2 as per my knowledge with tilersexample, 250pcs x RM20 = 5K compare to 1000pcs x RM3 = 3K. Added on March 1, 2011, 3:43 pm But the contractor quote much more cheaper to lay the 2'x2' tiles...labour included all meterial is RM7/pcs...in this case is RM7/4sqf = RM1.75 This is his quotation : labour include material. A. 1'x1' tiles = RM3.50 = 3.50/psf B. 1'x2' tiles = RM6.00 = 3.00/psf C. 2'x2' tiles = RM7.00 = 1.75/psf This post has been edited by biglovebijou: Jun 3 2011, 05:14 PM |

I don't know why i can decide to pass my tiles work to the most expensive quotation in my list. haha...
All Chinese quotation i have is around 5.50-6.50sq(without disposed the rubbish) and add another 1-2/sf for rubbish. So max is around 8.50/sq for all. But today i decide to pass to this contractor that charge me around rm10/sf for all. u ask me WHY? i don't know....just my feel to him is GOOD! Added on June 3, 2011, 8:36 pmthe bad news is he still need to decide whether to take my work o not...many ppl book him... This post has been edited by wrb7878: Jun 3 2011, 08:36 PM |

QUOTE(edwardsiow @ May 31 2011, 09:46 AM) I can give you contact number but I can't promise that you can get the same price or not...and he will start doing my whole house tiling this week and I don't believe he manages to accept any job at the same time because he will do the task by himself...Let me ask him first...will get back with you all later... Mine will be some time later (2 months maybe). Can PM me his number? Cheers! |
