HD 6970 is better than GTX 460m a lot
GTX 485 is slightly better than or almost the same as HD 6970

I'm currently eye-ing on Sager NP8170-S1 with HD 6970

But I heard other forum say that HD 6970 is faster than GTX 460M 10%

actually in most of the benches i see the 6970m actually beats the 485m by a little

In truth, the 485m still reigns supreme over the 6970m; the 485m has features built into (CUDA, PhysX etc.) even if the gains from the benchmarks are only a few centimeters higher. The ATI/AMD lineup has been plagued with slow release of Catalyst drivers (although I would think that they already have support for the 6970m.) The 485m has plenty of driver releases (3 - 4 already), but none have native support...yet.

Been surveying alot of gaming laptop for the past 2-3 weeks... Its driving me nuts! cry.gif

See many people here, even students, can afford a high-end sager laptop... sweat.gif

try aim for 8130, cost around RM4k without OS, then if you are college student, you can go microsoft MSDN to download window 7 for free thumbup.gif

Wooow, back from work and 3 pages already.
Kahjye, to answer your question, the bag is just a normal bag with the cloth which will make you cringe when you scratch it. It fits the laptop, but its stretching itself. So I don't really wanna put that much pressure on it, buying a backpack instead. Will also relieve the pressure on my shoulders

The reason we students are able to get such good laptops, is either we saved up previously or borrow from parents.

If the student is plain rich, I dun think he will even bother coming to these forums. Haha.

yeah... kinda aiming for that one too... unfortunately i'm not a student... need to topup extra RM2xx for home premium... tongue.gif

sometimes, thinking of getting a 8150 instead... afraid of the GTX 460M limitation... sweat.gif
