It was my favorite lens to carry around before I got the 17-35 f/2.8D from my dad. smile.gif

Yeah i think it is a good len but it is w/o VR , just now i try my kit len w/o VR shoot , my pic blur while i open with VR , i get sharper image . I'm afraid i cannot handle it as my skill not good , im not say w/o vr not good , i blame my skill.

17-55 nikkor has wide opening of f/2.8, which means much more light can enter/reach your camera sensor so you can use higher shutter speed to compensate for your shaky hands. smile.gif
