Uhmm.. I have no knowledge when it comes to filter. so mind to share why people want slimmer filter?
I thought it is useful for lens protection. why slim ka?
isn't that thick filter good for protection?
*
One advantage of having slimmer frame is that it prevents vignetting especially when used with wide lenses.

Wow..quite expensive for a backpack that size..although it is quite big.

I need a bag that looks like a normal backpack, isn't too flashy, practical, and not to big so that I can carry it with me on an airplane...

looking at kata & lowepro but i'm confused as there are a lot of bags to look at and im not sure all the shops carry all models.
*
Thinktank Streetwalker series might suit your need..

Never heard of such... maybe there are problems like that happening to some people but the problem with the AFS 80200 is a lot more serious as it just stop functioning all together and the cost of repairing the motor is a bomb.
*
The cracking problem is quite common here in US, i read somewhere a guy had that crack, replaced the ring and after sometime it cracked again. Poor guy..

Btw how much different between VRI and 80-200D in m'sia?

and today's spam

Not too bad. Do you have the full EXIF for this shot?
Just have a look at the lenses on Nikon's webpage. You'd see which lenses are classified as wide, normal or tele.

By Nikon's definition, the 35mm FX lens is still considered as wide.
*
The EXIF is still intact with the pic..but anyhow: f/1.4, iso-200, 1/400 sec

Somehow Flickr does not allow me to see and extract the EXIF.

Did you apply sharpening (USM)? How does it look like straight out of the camera?
*
No sharpening at all, just change to B&W in lightroom and bump up contrast..the crop was from the original picture str8 out of the camera (RAW-JPEG conversion with ViewNX2) which looks like this:

Thanks for the reply. Saw the EXIF and confirmed my suspicion that flash was fired.

Can you have one shot without flash and cropped at 100%?
