QUOTE(KTCY @ Mar 4 2011, 09:52 AM) Either you misunderstood me, or you don't know how aperture size is measured.I mentioned how big the aperture opening, aperture is always stated as f/1.4 for example. The f stands for focal length. So a 200mm f/2 would be 100mm aperture opening (filter thread size is another story though). So, 50mm f/1.4 -> 50/1.4 85 f/1.4 -> 85/1.4 So... 85 f/0.7 -> 85/0.7 Added on March 4, 2011, 9:58 am QUOTE(C_Sagi @ Mar 4 2011, 09:56 AM) No need research la, if you understand how aperture is measured or rather why smaller numbers -> bigger aperture then it is all clear. QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 4 2011, 09:57 AM) Either you misunderstood me, or you don't know how aperture size is measured. Then how you answer 50/1.2 = 52mm filter ? I mentioned how big the aperture opening, aperture is always stated as f/1.4 for example. The f stands for focal length. So a 200mm f/2 would be 100mm aperture opening (filter thread size is another story though). Take an example, 50/1.2 vs 24/1.4G, it doesn't match what you say. Leica nottilux another example. Maybe you can explain more ? I really no idea about this This post has been edited by KTCY: Mar 4 2011, 10:07 AM |
