Could it be your ftp server that limit it?

Try to get a torrent to re-confirm the download/upload speed or run some SpeedTest, it should be dedicated speed.
*
Tested.... I run the upload... it can hit 5mbps, then i run download it also can hit 5mbps
but when i run both.... it will share 2.5mbps each... so total will be 5mbps...

But when i try to explain to the UNIFI ppl... those nut heads dunno what I'm trying to say

hmmmm very "wierd" but i think their throttling me. heck it's just installed few hours ago then wanna throttle adi.

First installed (1pm) 5M up, 5M down.

1 hour later (2 or 3pm) 2M up, 2M down.

Night time (7pm) 2M up, 0.5M down!!!!

late at night (2-3am) 2M up, 1M down

Now (9-10am) 5M up, 5M down.

What should I tell them? can i ask them to cap my port to 10M?

hi there.
am gettin' unifi soon.
wondering if i apply online ... does it take ages for them to come to install?
thut go thru those tm agents .. but tmnut offer free 1 month subscription ..
whereas most agents don't (they offer rebate up to 50%).

if no need to wait long then i'll apply online.

btw, my place is landed, read the FAQs it said "may required minimal drilling"...
where are they goin to drill wor? my house just finish renovate la .. dun feel like drill here drill there anymore ... if outside or near the box then i dun care
thanks
*
I applied online. Free installation & 1st month free.
I was suppose to wait for a month but they call me up 2 weeks later and now it's done.

As for the question of drilling, it depends where you want to put your equipment and you can let the installer know where to drill. it will be a small hole for the fiber to go into your house.

Taman Mayang reporting in. Problem with speeds in the evening. When I test before I go to work, line is fine. After work, 500kbps up and down. Where is my 5Mbps line?

I got the 15mbps package , but when I download from MegaUpload or whatever the speed less than 1mb/s !!!
WHAT?!
*
have you utilise the daily limits for MegaUpload?

i got 5MB package. When started download, its constant 450kb/s...

after downloaded few dramas, guess the daily limits is hit, its become 10kb/s....

halo... my office just installed biz10 package, but there's some setting that i dunno how to set... anyone can help me out?

biz10 comes with 1 fix ip,
but how do i connect to few PCs? for example 10 PCs?
i have the network switch and everything, i can change the router (DIR615) to the IP that i wanted, but then the other PCs cant link to the internet, only 1 PC is able to get connected to the internet but the Gateway IP is not the IP that i set for the DIR615, the gateway IP is the fixed internet IP. How do i get the other PCs to connect to the internet and using the Gateway IP that i set?

thanks

I haven't restart the router since I first installed unifi a few days ago.

Almost 2 days without disconnection already..

Total downloads around 6.5 GB. (i'm not a heavy downloader).

First of all, Gateway IP is usually obtained from the PPPoE server or the DHCP server. For those behind the network, the Gateway IP is the router that has a direct link to the internet (again, given by the DHCP server). For a computer (or a router) with the direct link to the internet, the one from PPPoE would be your gateway IP. I gave you the rough outline, could you tell me what do you mean by the Gateway IP that you set? How did you set it? By PPPoE? At the DHCP server?

AFAIK, just plug the network switch to a lan port on the DIR-615 and you're good to go, without changing anything at all. Once you change something, be prepared dude, you need some skills and understanding.

first of all, before messing around with the setting, you should have tried to simply plug and play . This to ensure everything works, the ppoe dialer, unifi connectivity, etc...

again, if you dont have the knowledge and experience just leave the default setting...

Ain't DIR become the DHCP server, and assign each computer behind the router with individual IP and everyone can online already?

Sorry, still novice in networking.

Today Unifi customer service call me and inform me that my place is available for Unifi now. Is there anything I need to take note or precaution during installation? Or is there any hardware which I need to upgrade instead of those provided by Unifi?

Guys & Girls, what is the official email that I should send to launch a formal complaint on Unifi? My UNIFI was fixed at the 21st, and when they were doing speedtest, results only show 0.2mbps dl 4.0mbps up. They said they have to return the order since something is not right. I called TM Unifi hotline for an explanation on this, guy put his phone on mute for 10 min and hope for me to drop the call, he dont wanna hear my argument. I'm extremely upset now on the treatment i receive and I need to **** them somehow, any help?
