Capping is just matter of time
because if not consider the purchasing power
malaysia's broadband seem quite cheap for a no cap package.

If south africa(and many other developing countries) can afford no cap and affordable internet then why can't we?I think the users here have debated many times that malaysian broadband is still among the most expensive in the world(not i say, research said).Definitely there's some truth to it.

Has anyone recovered their facebook speed? My 10MB line had really slow FB speed past few days until somebody taught me a workaround on the host file, which was said to make my account more prone to be hacked.

I'm not sure whether this is the solution

192.168.0.1->ID: operator, Pass: h566UniFi->Internet Setup->Manual Internet Setup->Under PPPoE box->Connect mode select->Always instead of connect on demand.

Added on March 21, 2011, 10:57 amAny "Dir-615" expert here? I wanna ask how to setup QoS or to divide the bandwidth equally for a number of users connected? My friend is always downloading with xunlei. I asked him to limit the speed to around 300kB because i dare not to ask him to lower it further down. Surfing is not to say lag but when watching youtube vid then it'd lag for sure... I want to do something in the router side to cap his download speed and for all of us too. Means when 5 users connected, I want a equal bandwidth among 5 of us which is 1Mbps per user, on VIP5. Is that possible?

I am still having problems setting up port forwarding with the DIR 615 router, any sifus can help me out here?

The problem is when I set up in the Advanced Port Forwarding area, it doesn't work, I can't connect to my server externally. I can connect if I set up as a DMZ but I do not want to open all the ports into my pc.

How do you guys configure to be able to host games?

Hi Iwan,

I follow the handbook instruction and manage to go into the Dlink Configuration 192.168.01 .
I follow your instruction as stated above and my login id is admin , pasword: blank. (found in unifi handbook)
May i know how come your default login id and password different. Is it the same?

My setting in Connect Mode Select is already " Always" .
I noticed the Max Idle Time is : 5 min. ( grey out) (can't change this).

Every time i have to reboot my modem because it keep login out every time . Did you guys face this same problem.
I will test it out this afternoon again. i will leave it switch on. Will see if it happen again.

The id pass he gave is the secondary account which gives you MORE settings to tweak with.

That 5mins u can only change if you set the mode to "connect on demand". And... Like that orenzai said, the id/pass i used is more advanced menu for the router. What u can with the admin account can be done by the operator account but not vice versa. Haha

How long does unifi service will available after there start digging the road for fiber connection? My place at Taman Sutera Kajang. Last week can see the build a box next to existing TM box. This week already pull a fiber cable to the box. Talk to them, the said 1 month will finish everything. Does service will be available after the contractor finish with cabling? or it's will take a few more month?

For my experience here in Tmn Universiti at Seri Kembangan. It only available after 1-3 months finished constructed the UNIFI box. Once there is a UNIFI booth outside your area, means UNIFI is available soon

It may take a few weeks to a few months... take my place for example, the green box (with fiber and everything) was installed in early march 2010 and the services only available in Q3 2010...

I'd suggest you check unifi website regularly especially if you landline number is serviceable by unifi...

By default, the dialer is already optimized... no need to tweak it further...

what kind of game you are hosting? Do you know what port it uses? Dynamic assigned port or specific port number? if it is dynamic like mesengger or torrent then make sure UPNP is enabled...
