QUOTE(imin @ Feb 10 2011, 10:22 PM) it seems nowadays barcelona always put obscene amount of buyout clause for their players. liverpool should do that too. i'm not sure if that is a good exercise. because even though the club can reject offers from other clubs for their players, but it is down to the player himself whether he want to commit or not. If the club reject good offer for a certain player, when the player clearly want to move on, it could upset the player. if the player have positive mindset, he might wait and give it all for the club until the right moment come to move on. But if the player chose to sulk, behave like crap, play without giving 100% effort and skip training, better let him go. that player not only will dissapoint the manager, but also other players and fans. Barcelona able to do this perhaps because of their current dominance in Spanish league.

QUOTE(mamet @ Feb 11 2011, 12:22 AM) pfftt ,.. Jonjo Shelvey faces 12 weeks out with a knee injury: Very bad news Well it is time for others to shine Speaking of Barca, I just realised few days back that they have bought Ibrahim Afellay for £2.5 million. I don't know about you guyz, but I think that is quite a bargain. He is not yet considered as a great player, but I think he has the potential to be one. I would put him in the same class as Marko Marin. But again I don't really follow Dutch League or Germany Bundesliga. Maybe somebody who has constantly watching them can shed some light.

After Shelvey's injury we could have done with Adam in midfield. Spearing is out as well. Poulsen should get some playing time and maybe Conor Coady perhaps?

Coady is a good shout indeed, he's quite an athelete and is highly regarded in the Academy. Don't forget there's also Suso, whose been trained to play in CM this season.

Have to say, i feel so relieved to know we have young CM talents like Coady and Suso waiting in line. The fact that they're both highly talented makes the competition even more fierce and intriguing. Reckon Dalglish is spoilt for choices, he could go for the sturdier built Coady or the silkier Suso. Eager to see if either of them get any minutes.

Never in my life had I so excited and eager to watch Liverpool match, I had supported Liverpool for more than 10 years, I can say earlier of the season was the most horrendous feel for every Liverpool fans in the world.
But now, things had changed, tides had turned. Now we can all look forward to every Liverpool match with great hope and expectation because we know the new "Liverpool" is the old Liverpool of the 80s.
The spirit is there, the enthusiasm is there, the spirit of Shankly is evidently there.
And more so, King Kenny is there.
As aligned to our golden motto, You'll Never Walk Alone. Never had I seen a football club with greater support for their beloved club than the famous Kopites.
We are not glory hunter, we don't support a team that suddenly rise to fame because of wealth and richness in terms of cash.
We support Liverpool because it is LIVERPOOL.

It's a long shot but our back four is fit and let's not forget than Dagger had expressed some interest in playing the holding role before. Boy am I delighted that finally, we have a boss who appreciates his ability.

Which was one on the reasons I wanted to see King Kenny reinstalled as manager. Nobody is bigger than Kenny Dalglish, not Carragher, not Gerrard. If any player goes up against him, the fans will back Kenny. Said a lot that Dalglish was voted no.1 ahead of Gerrard in the list of "Players Which Shook the Kop". One man to rule them all. One man to find them. One man to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. The Return of the King...

Agger vents his anger at Torres for unacceptable moveDuno whether it's real or not, but I really like this from Dagger : When asked about Torres's decision to join Chelsea, though, Agger was fiercely critical. Speaking to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, Agger said "it is unacceptable to play for one of Liverpool's arch rivals". "For a Dane, it's about having respect for the club you play at. I am proud to be able to pull on my Liverpool jersey, and will never go to another club in England. I will never go to play for Manchester United or Everton. It's about a form of respect for the club."I think this sentence is also taking a poke at RH : "First of all because he likes to play positive football, going forward, and keeping the ball on the ground and I think he is good among the players. The training sessions have been really good and I think everything starts at the training ground. If you can get that right you have a big advantage in the games." I think I heard Johnson mentioning before Woy's training session didn't really involve using football much. Even in the pictures on LFC.tv, they mostly cycling, jogging, and using exercise ball. wtf.

Daniel Agger has denounced Fernando Torres for showing a lack of "respect" for Liverpool by joining Chelsea but admitted the Merseysiders' dismal start to the season had contributed heavily to the Spaniard's inconsistent form. The Denmark centre-half has been a key member of the Liverpool side revitalised under Kenny Dalglish, rising to sixth in the table and six points from the fourth Champions League qualification place. The arrival of the £23m Luis Suárez from Ajax and Newcastle's Andy Carroll for a club record £35m could add even more impetus, potentially offsetting the £50m departure of Torres to Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard's move, triggered by a desire to leave Anfield, frustrated Agger. "It is unacceptable to play for one of Liverpool's arch rivals," he said. "For a Dane, it's about having respect for the club you play at. I am proud to be able to pull on my Liverpool jersey and will never go to another club in England. I would never go to Manchester United or Everton, for example. It's about a form of respect for the club. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/fe...ol-daniel-aggerhail agger!!!!!

The Return of the King... exactly, only shanks and paisley is bigger than him. he is liverpool royalty. this is almost impossible but i dunno later down the road when whether or not FSG will suddenly feel threaten by kenny influences. H&G maybe, but FSG is a class act so far.

Boy am I delighted that finally, we have a boss who appreciates his ability. Dagger have that ability to play in that role. As a CB, he is good but must shake off that school boy play or fancy play. Plus he don't have the stature to battle against the likes of Drogba, Carew, Heskey. Maybe when play in holding role he can express himself more. plus he will have more chance to shoot from distance often than when he play as a CB.

FSG just managed the club in terms of marketing and leave the football to Kenny. Prepare the transfer fund for KD to buy his own choice of players. Don't force KD to buy a certain player that although world class but not in KD's plan. remember Shevchenko? Mourinho didn't want him but Abramovich for Mourinho to use shevchenko. Just do what Glazer did which is leave football matter to SAF although Glazer leave a huge pile of debt on MU. lol.

oh ok, now we know where that elbow came from! always thought he was one of the quieter, calmer lads... and that Carragher would be the one to put a boot up Torres' butt Added on February 11, 2011, 10:30 amQUOTE(kamkamparadise @ Feb 11 2011, 10:28 AM) As long as FSG don't do what Abramovich does to his managers then it should be ok.
