QUOTE(Sifha238 @ Feb 13 2011, 09:00 PM) x abis2 Pacheco Pacheco dari dulu....kalau betul budak tu terrer xdenya Benitez, RH & Kenny x bagi dia main but i think, pacheco will be valuable if we continue play pass & move because this kid have talent for this style of play...he has talent but not ready yet...maybe tactical awareness is still poor |

Think one of the major drawback will be his built which it seems is too slender to handle BPL defenders, so is Suso. Both of them looks like under nourish kids compare to BPL defenders

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 13 2011, 05:31 PM) Yesterday was not a good performance, Wigan got more dangerous attack several occassion. maybe it is because they lost their creative spark when Meireles was subbed. With Gerrard injured, surely the players relied on Meireles for the creative spark. With joe Cole nowhere in KD plan, Liverpool might facing a shortage of creative players. But with a little bit of luck, Liv can win the game, with Suarez hit the post in the first half and hit the cross bar in second half. Poor finishing and final third passing. Wasted freekick in good position. Somemore, Wigan goal was clearly offside, other than that, Reina has not much to do. Even though Reina has nothing much to do, it was a poor performance, and lack of spark in general. Players simply look jaded. A big disappointment, when watching the game. But positive note is that Liv is scoring in every match now since after KD took over. No more PL game until end of the month for Liv. QUOTE(hyperyouth_firepower @ Feb 13 2011, 07:22 PM) Having Maxi, Jova and Cole is better than having NOTHING when it comes to squad depth. hmmm. i'm not quite get the point you're trying to highlight here. is it like LINE UP 1 defence = kelly, Carra, SKrtel, Johnson and LINE UP 2 defence = Johnson, Kgryakos, Agger, Aurelio? True, that we're very reliant on a non-rotated first team (and here we are, if triggered we're going to rant about having rotation basis). As far as I have noticed, Meireles will get subbed now and then, together with the strikers if there's a need of a pressing game. Somehow the pattern here is that defenses don't get switched, but rather there's a "LINE UP 1" and "Line UP 2" selection (heavily based on tactics) and from what I can see, the real issue is having the balls flowing from defense->midfield->strikers in reference to the 'tailor' designs. I'm not sure if I'm the only person that notes this, but KD has never played the same 11 players in the same formation. There's always a tailor to the needs, with exception of injuries and illegible players. The real issue u're trying to highlight is there is no player capable of linking defence and attack such as what the likes of Makelele and Scholes are doing, is it? sorry, me quite slow in trying to understand what are u trying to point at. QUOTE(solstice818 @ Feb 13 2011, 07:39 PM) I dunno about you guys but I guess it's about time to stop comparing player in game with player in real life. Kinda ridiculous, no? agree. it is always ridiculous comparing real life football with virtual football. QUOTE(madmoz @ Feb 13 2011, 08:39 PM) Respect, Unity, Trust, Patience i guess ur patience is wearing thin now eh? be patience bro. Liverpool just gone through a rough half season and they're in the middle of getting back to stability. Currently KD haven't had the time and chance to build his own squad with january transfer period. so just wait for this summer window and i'm sure KD wil get Liverpool back where the club really belong to; among the elite clubs of Europe once again.Although someone will probably have to remind me of that too the next time Poulsen has a bad game and I start hurling pleasantries at him! Players like Makelele, Shaun Wright Philips, Nasri, Fabregas, Scholes, Juninho, Park Ji Sung, Zola, etc have small frame compare to your normal players but instead of being bullied by bigger players, they turn to be the most influential players ever grace in EPL. It is the matter of determination and football brain that will ensure those players able to play in EPL. |

Well we have quite a number of promising player such as pacheco,suso,sterling,ayala,shelvey and david amoo who can produce magic in the pitch..hopefully we can see them in action soon but let's not rush them into action..we got to make sure they are ready..

Somehow something got lost in translation! I'm hardly running out of patience, the small worded part was merely me chastising myself for picking on Poulsen earlier this season... although he is still remains subpar at best in my books!

QUOTE(darth6 @ Feb 13 2011, 08:00 PM) But yesterday he was rubbish,shouldn't switch Raul with him. KD has little choice, Meireles was subbed due to sickness.Frankly speaking we weren't playing quite well yesterday,our first touches were out of place and quite a lot of misunderstanding passes. It's okay though,a draw is better than a lost. Sub Meireles with Ngog is a positive substituition, KD can go for Poulsen, play ultra-defensive, to see out the draw 1-0, but opt for striker to get second insurance goal. Yes, yesterday was a lacklustre performance in general. Just hope it is one off match. I prefer the 5 man defender with wing back like against Chelsea, more fluidity in passing. The diamond formation yesterday, seem players cannot adapt with it, passing go hair-wired. May be more training needed. Added on February 14, 2011, 12:41 amOne thing I noticed that in yesterday match, there was a lot of discussion between Steve Clark and KD during the match. Some ppl here are really critical about Eggnog, Dirk and Lucas.
There seems to be no way to please everyone. |

QUOTE(daidzz @ Feb 14 2011, 01:06 AM) Hey guys! Magic. If you have time please do write and account beginning with your trip there to after the game. No need to talk about the match since we watched it. Am interested in the atmosphere and all. If you have the time lah.I got back really late from Liverpool last night - i was absolutely knackered. He's been working with the academy for some time now and I can only imagine the king doesn't feel he's quite ready. Dalglish has shown that he's not biased against youth players having already played Spearing, Kelly and Shelvey. Not an area I can commen much on since I don't watch youth matches. All I can say is I was surprised that Kelly kept getting picked ahead of Darby who was captaining the youth team but now I understand why. Not sure about Pacheco. |

watched the full match on saturday. some of my views:
1) lucas made quite a number of miss/intercepted passes, but he will always make it up few seconds later later by winning balls, mostly through interception 2) wigan looks more crisp in their passing. the useless international friendly has again, take it tolls on liverpool players.. come on la after the int friendly, even barca who previously slayed their opponents 3, 5-0 can only draw with a lowly team. 3) seems the team haven't clickin yet with suarez's style of play. 4) agger is 99999>skrtel 5) when is carrol coming? ngog is not that bad if he's playing for a midtable team.. but for a supposed-to-be top team like liverpool, ngog just doesn't have it |

To me, I would like to take the positive to the game like;
1. Overall jaded but still we kept the game in tempo (not as fast as everyone wants it but at least we don't sit back.. hey its Anfield after all) 2. Back 4 seems lively and getting used to playing with one another. Agger is indeed more reliable than Skrtel but hopefully the Carra and Agger influence will get him back on his defensive best 3. Meireles is a friggin give from out of nowhere (Woy was right about this one) 4. Suarez is showing the kind of 22.8 mil quality we paid for him. He is going to be our new goal contributor very soon. 5. And still I am in Awed of King Kenny, the way our players play "pass and move" and the morale is astounding. Yes it is a draw and yes we dropped 2 points but we are in a transition, as long as the goal is still there, playing like the LFC of old and with a touch of flair here and there, I am more than a happy fan Still a joy to behold after months of disappointments it's putting the |
