maybe i'm watching a different game because i think lucas not as bad as you guys described. one draw game.. its not like we lost. wigan always a boogey team for us. the team didn't play that bad. after meireles taken out (injury?) we lost the playmaker thus losing the midfield. we resorted to long ball from defense.
suarez did ok.. he was lively and always wanted the ball. now i kinda understand why ajax fans describe his style as 'fumble football' |

QUOTE(bearbear @ Feb 13 2011, 02:27 AM) not bad??..i think he's the best player on the pitch!...the wigan defenders hates him..one way to stop him was giving away freekicks around their box...u know something will happen when ball was at his feet..and dont forget that he's not playing competitive futbol for more than a month after gettin ban for 7 matches in eredivisie..we'll know how great he is when he's got 100% match fitness |

Disappointed that the boys didn't bag the full 3 points, but at the same time I have to give credit to wigan; they really put up a tough fight tonight.
Now it's time take what we can from this game, and move onto the next game with full efforts! |

Kuyt is having a bad day today. He was off the pace. Unlucky Suarez hits the post twice. Wigan were lucky to score and not to be one man short but to be honest we were flat in the middle of the 2nd half. Disappointing player on the pitch has to be Kuyt.

QUOTE(azrulkamal240 @ Feb 13 2011, 01:55 AM) none of u guys said Wigan are parking the bus in front of their goal, and rely on Nzogbia to do counter attack on us.. so Liverpool is a mid-team last week? it's normal for a mid-team like Wigan playing defensively once they got a goal. to them, a draw could be more than satisfaction.... it's totally different when we're with uncle Woy before that, our opponents really dun afraid of us and we keep conceding goal that time.. no offence guys, it just that we dun have a luck tonite. we did okay, kept possesion, a lot of shot on n off target... but luck wasn't with us.. that's the conclusion.. |

I watch the game. I felt we were a bit out luck because Suarze 2 shot hit the post. else we have won the game but that's football the ball is round and anything can happen. on the plus side we did get a point and still climbing to the to four. A great game from KD Side. Hope we have more luck against Sparta next Thursday.

i think besides raul is the best player, suarez is the best player on the pitch. always look sharp and always look hungry. i seriously think that liverpool should buy some good winger in the summer. we lack of fast pace and creative winger to feed the ball into the box.

give lucas and kuyt a break. travelling abroad and playing 90 mins (45mins with 10man-lucas) and 75mins(kuyt) on wednesday isnt ideal. u cant expect the players to perform week in week out all the time. nobody does that. even top teams have lacklustre days, barcelona drew after a 16 match winning streak, so does that means they played are entitled to criticism ? what defines a champion is being able to win games tho not playing well n i hope we are slowly building towards that.. the introduction of ngog and jova was becaused they played the full90 mins in the reserve game with the former netting twice. what frustrates me is pacheco not given a chance.. i thought to me myself, 20mins, give the boy a chance to provide some spark.. a chance to prove himself in front of the own crowd, instead of jova who imo doesnt seem to made the cut here in bpl is introduced.. if shelvey n kelly is getting lotsa mins and experience, pacheco should too unless kenny doesnt fancy him.
suarez looked lack match fitness as expected but he was so unlucky. if the freekick would have gone in, i'm sure us liv fans would have found a new hero the games comes fast, next up, sparta prague on thursday |

I have to agree. That's why I don't fancy international friendly matches. They just screw up the players momentum. Also makes the player more tried with their own league and have to continue play it after the friendly game.suarez looked lack match fitness as expected but he was so unlucky. if the freekick would have gone in, i'm sure us liv fans would have found a new hero the games comes fast, next up, sparta prague on thursday |

i lol at some forumers who was holding their criticism and lash it out when lucas play deservedly dissent last night, wasnt that typically great but when u consider he just came back from an international duty, u should at least understood the situation..
this season apart from meireles goals n contribution, lucas is there, best player so far for liverpool this season, i guess for being that good, 1 silly poor game is unacceptable by some |

QUOTE(fenzodahl512 @ Feb 13 2011, 01:39 AM) Lucas seems lost when Meireles went out, lost a lot of possession.. Kuyt is not his oldself anymore.. He still energetic but getting slower, and somehow lost his touch (passing ability).. Not sure why.. Judge too quickly..Honestly, we lost the midfield battle when Meireles went out.. And the worst part is, Ngog replacing him.. Only in the final 10 minutes we get our midfield back, but then Wigan has already decided for one point only.. Dirk Kuyt played his international game at mid-week weih... Of course there will be fatigue accumulated... That explains your "not sure why" QUOTE(fenzodahl512 @ Feb 13 2011, 01:40 AM) No way!!! You want to see a retired player playing in BPL now?! Lucas did okay lar! |

i disagree ngog is playing badly yesterday. he was creating space and chances.
i was only dissappointed in maxi and kuyt yesterday, especially maxi. kuyt might had a burnout from the wednesdays friendly but maxi was fresh. instead of putting maxi, i'd rather we play dani pacheco yesterday, coz i think he'll do a great job in creating chances. |
