I remember couple of forumners suggested we get Robben towards the end of 09/10 season.

Sauce link

To be fair at least he waited until the end of the game unlike Bowyer and Dyer. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Not im not respect Liverpool fans over there. Torres went to Chelsea they cursed him like struggle la, another Shevchenko la bla bla bla, Torres legend is gone now is Suarez legend. I mean what kind of attitude is that?

Did we do that when Ronaldo went to join Real?

That's is because they thought Torres is a different breed of player who values loyalty more than typical footballer.

With Ronaldo, most of us knew he will go at one stage.

We hurt less when he leaves compared to them when Torres leaves.

Ahahhah. We had Tevez lst time who was very hypocrite. But Pool have more of their players for being hypocritical. Gerrard and Tevez Torres. And their fans as well.

Good humour.

But really, c'mon, with their recent "achievements", they still expect Torres to stay for another couple of years? With no CL and all? cool2.gif

they also cursed Torres to be like Owen.

Now see Owen with us, and he was a great helper for us. Last match was Southampton. Years back, we see his first appearance for United at our national ground. And almost forget he was a kop back in the day.

Anyway, on Rooney. THAT IS BULLSHIT. I don't know where he gets the idea. It's not like Manchester United is going through a barren spell or anything. It is all about the money. To be honest, he is not doing too good either. Berbatov and Hernandez outshines him. Somehow, I think that he will leave us. Someday.

This summer. He's gone by this summer.

hmm, i remember i actually read in manutd.com when we accept real's bid, it was stated there "by request of ronaldo"...either it wasn't an actual transfer request, or it the transfer request itself was put behind closed doors

To be fair on Rooney he also one those player who choose to leave his boyhood club that once he pledge once a blue always a blue before then after that he signed for us. It always nice to hear when u see the player pledge his what so we called loyalty to our club but in the end of the day we all know its BS only. Even for Gerrard who pool fans believe that he is the Mr Liverpool did submit transfer request before make dramatic u-turn. I believe in modern football it is hard to define what loyalty really is. And speaking of loyalty to club i believe 1 man club players were the the pure jewels that hard to find. The likes of Carragher,Del Piero, Totti, Maldini and our own Giggsy,Scholes and Red Nev might be last of kind of it.

New generation player prefer money than loyalty. They dont care anything about loyalty. As long they can live a good life. Why bother.. Just another villain, thats all. :S

You could understand Rooney leaving Everton. They are not a top team, while the likes of us, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool were at the time.So he can be forgiven for leaving them for us. He took a step up. But nobody understands why he wanted to leave us a few months back. That's just crazy. It's not like we're in a bad time ala what happens at Liverpool. You could understand if we went trohpyless for 3-5 seasons, so he wants to be in a team that is challenging on all front. That's fair. But we narrowly missed out on the title last season and have started the season well enough. So it's really disappointing to hear it from himself on why he wanted to leave. The fact that he signed the new contract in a quick manner suggests that it's just 'drama' to ask for more money.

Luckily for us he signs on. While he's not in a great form right now, we know ourselves how vital he is to our side. On form he's up there with the best of them. But that trust you have about him is gone now. You're just never sure about his future.. and once we go bad, expect him to leave. The same goes for any player currently at the club.

With Hernandez doing well, and Welbeck showing signs that he'll becoming good, I say we don't need to worry about Rooney's future whatever that may be. If he stays, great. If he wants to go, we're more than capable of replacing him.
