Erm.... after all i think we do treat rooney the same way.... don't we???

I think that happened every superstar leave a team...

love and hate is in a same amount... how much love for a player will translate to how much you will hate that person once they leave you.... i totally understand thou...

Btw... the bad news for us is we still had to play chelsea twice!

bring it on =) Vidic will single handedly strip their pants down and make them fall biggrin.gif Lol, pressure on Vidic pulak. Anyway, doesn't matter la really. If we want to win UCL also, these are the type of lethal strikers are facing.

Thing with Rooney is, that I am mad of, he questioned the old man and the club. You should never ever do that. If he wants to leave, go ahead. Players come and go, Fergie and the club stays.

I am not mad at Ronaldo for leaving us. It was very apparent. We got a good deal out of him. So, yeah.

Which reminds me of Berbatov.

How can fans slag off Berbatov when he clearly told City to f*** off?

But fans adore Tevez which clearly is nothing but a mess?

Puzzling. rclxub.gif

I feel like laughing at each and everyone of those pool fans who praised Torres like a god before.

+1. At least we know Ronaldo will leave us at some time, hope it would be later than 2009 cry.gif

QUOTE(munky @ Feb 1 2011, 08:33 AM)
He was never the best player in EPL anyway

Ronaldo 80 mill to a non league rival

Torres 50 mill to a league rival. If we did sell Ronaldo to a league rival i.e. Chelsea or City think how much we could have gotten brows.gif

Seriously though, what's wrong with praising Torres? By that measure we shouldn't praise any player because he'll leave at some point in his career. We obviously pegged him wrong as a man and it won't be the first time. All that can be said is that in this day and age, loyalty is a rare commodity.

So the window shut with our gaffer MIA from any transfer activity nod.gif our team quite stable at the moments just waiting for a few issues to solve and the foremost is Scholes contract.. If he sign another season then CM position will be closed? Then left with GK to sign..

The issue is not praising. We all praise a good footballer. I myself praise him and mentioned before I was envy that Pool got him from Spain.

The issue is making/worshipping him to be this person who values loyalty when this itself is a rare commodity. Many has posted on how he would not go to a rival club or even Real Madrid because he is loyal to Pool and Atletico.

When you guys do that (a lot in El Nino's case), can you blame us for taking a sly dig when shit hits the fan? Best thing is he handed a transfer request. Even cnut Ronaldo did not do that when he slow talk with SAF.

This is one of the unique transfer windows i have seen. Players are bought at real inflated price

to be fair, there are players who are loyal though rare. Take Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Wes Brown for example. In pool theres Carragher and Gerrard. These are the type of players who make football look less like a business warzone.

Why did Torres go to Chelsea at this crucial time.... We still got 2 matches not yet played against Chelsea.... Torres is killer player.. I remember last time he owns us before for few seasons. ( I still remember it arghhhh )

But i guess this kind of frenzy transfer at the last minute won't affect us at all..... Our moral is skyhigh right now rclxm9.gif . Winning winning winning~~~

Fair enough. I worshipped him in his time here and I don't think anyone, Liverpool fan or not would fantom him signing for a rival English club. It just comes to show that talk is cheap. You almost lost Rooney yourself and it shows that "loyalty" is a word many players use but don't often practice. "Win trophies" = "More money", if you ask me. If he really wanted to win trophies alone, clubs should offer him a paycut knowing they have an advantage.

Don't blame you for taking a dig. I just feel that there was not reason not to have worshipped him.

There is a difference I think between being loyal to a club and being a fan of the club. We can't hold it against players for coming and going. Like I've said many times, it's a career to them. They can however still follow the club and keep in touch with the fanbase or former colleagues. You endevour however to avoid stabbing the fans in the back. I admit it, I was a fool for believing what Torres said and it won't be the last time I'll place my trust in a player.

Bro alien, from your experience, which TV listing should be trusted more - ESPN/Star Sports or the one on Astro's site when it comes to ESPN/Star Sports showings?

At 4pm today on ESPN/Star Sports site it says for Malaysian region the FA Cup rerun on show is Man United v Southampton. On the other hand, Astro's TV listing says it's the Chelsea v Everton game.

I missed the cup tie so I'm trying to catch the rerun here. Thanks smile.gif
