why not just flash to 2.2.1 js5 (latest 2.2.1 firmware)

faster and smoother, may not have the wifi issue you're having too. give it a try? smile.gif

else, just use the root explorer and delete the file as quoted above

restart your modem/router, forget the network and reconnect. If that doesn't work, just switch off WiFi leave it as it is.. after some time, u'll be able to connect. I have this problem twice last time.. nth helps, it'll self-fix tongue.gif

lol rooting will hardly brick your phone. if you have speedmod/voodoo, then rooting would be much easier smile.gif

I did stop it. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to save before pressing home button to switch between tasks. sad.gif

Sien... Android's memory management still pretty sucky.

Added on February 15, 2011, 3:24 amWas driving home earlier. Having problem locking GPS inside Maps. Got a bit fed-up, went to *#*#<bla bla>#*#* and did a GPS locking test. Got lock in <30 seconds, then switch back to Maps, voila!

Shhh, don't tell the authorities I was using the phone while driving on the highway. tongue.gif

From my experience, I do feel Digi is faster than Maxis in terms of data connection for internet browsing, while Maxis coverage is better than Digi in whole country.

Agreed. Digi seems to give me more stable connection with consistent speed. Maxis coverage is definitely better (in Penang island) but tends to be a bit inconsistent - sometimes I'm cruising along on HSDPA and suddenly the connection just stops there and then and picks up again after a while.

Note: I have an SGS with Digi SIM, and an iPad with Maxis SIM..
