agree with u..if dun see the name HTC, i will think its those china pad.. lol.. the design really ... tab is still the best in its size.. and xoom with 10inch will be another one attracted me..some more working with google .....but not tab 10.1's design..sigh..i am really wondering how its gonna stand out if the price is not attractive enuff..somemore with ipad2 attack..

Somehow I notice my tab lags and sometimes programs auto shut down. I already minimized my ram consuming items. I'm not using live wallpaper or anything. Minimal number of pages as well. My home screen doesn't have Widgets but I do have a few folders. Anybody can help?

Are you on stock rom ? If not , what rom are you on ? What Launcher UI are you using
The stock default Touch Wiz is not so smooth and will show lagginess

I am on Zeam Launcer ( previously ADW ) : I have 6 homecreens, 12 widgets and I do not practiced using task killers - my TAB doesn't lag , it is very slick and smooth. It is so smooth and slick that today only I compare it with my partner iPhone 4 - he was actually shock as he has impression Android UI very laggy. I do not faced any auto program shutdown
Actually using Android you don't have to worry and control stuffs like what you are doing/stated above - it is different from Windows Mobile. The OS will take care everything

What are your memory readings : Download QUICK SYSTEM INFO and advise. I have about 100 3rd party apps installed

Further to my earlier post #421 above , I noted the said user bought the TAB as a new set from USA and it was a locked T Mobile set. Besides the need to unlock the sim, his TAB cannot recieve/make calls as this function stripped off on most USA telcos. So he'd need to also have his rom reflash to allow phone functions. Even with sim unlock, the data feature limited to only internet access and no SMS/MMS sent is possible. All the solutions to unlock sim and allow phone calls are unofficial solutions from XDA . Recieve SMS I'd think is possible

So any potential buyers thinking of getting a used or new USA set ( very much cheaper ) - better don't as I just researched and found that most USA telcos block out the phone features - T Mobile, ATT, Bell , Rogers to quote a few

right now I just rooted and using stock ROM...maybe 1 day I will try flash and upgrade my ROM.
Now I can use Papago X5 and play Asphalt5 HD on my SGT..tq for ur info and link

haha i'll have to research a bit on what you mentioned as this is my first android device. I got it not long ago and I am not very familiar with the terminologies that you used.

Things that I can provide you info on is:
I have not rooted my phone
The things in my phone is practically as per what a NEW galaxy tab has (I only downloaded games and Advanced Task Killer)

The response to my proposed meetup of Tabbbers on 20 Feb was poor - only 2 users responded. This proposed meetup is therefore cancelled.

how do you feel to make phone call with galaxy tab? will you feel it's to bulky to bring along?

as for me,i will bring my iphone which i will forward call from my bulkier tab.Tab will replace my notebook pc.

For me, i get BT headset. and well, Tab is not tat bulky, i feel light depends on others tablet. have u hold before Galaxy S? Galaxy S is as light as a paper

any recommend bluetooth headset below RM100?

Currently i using a brand call Bluetooth. RM60, not happy with it, once accidently drop only, whole thing cracked. =.=

ya i agree tab is not tat bulk..but problem is if dun have bag, or even a jacket or big pocket.. need to hold it on hand all the time or else, it serve me well..now i use it for online only.. then use another smaller phone for call and texting..

same with me...Tab + Nokia E72...

so you using 2 numbers? how good if can make ONE number in TWO sim card so 1 for Tab and 1 for a normal phone.
