Hi all, I just got to read abt removing the hidey place...well, lately very hot so I remove their bungalow hidey house and realize tat they r more active and happy now. They can even climb like a spidey along the cage to ask vege from me...LOL...unbelievable. The reason I bought them a hidey place cos got article said if u dun put hidey place if they get scare they will pull their own furs and at the end will go botak one...so now i just see how they react after take away the hidey and put a new hay holder...actually a cutlery holder...made of metal...heavy and hot lots of square holes...nice for hay...
I feed they cucumber lately due to super hot weather even our water also hot one...so give them cucumber will cold them down...

Oh ya, does anyone extended their commercial cage since the guinea pig do grow bigger and bigger...pity my two gals...like no where to run all the time...the most happy time is heard my foot steps back from work..and will start do the spidey stunt...and hopefully the vege will come faster...

im also think that the hiding place is important..
but its make my gp more scared to me..

yup.. hiding place only for 1st few months... when they are alone or stuff... but u regular bond with them... dont need one la... it like u putting distance between them.... mine 1.. i m not home diam diam.. dengar saje i come back opening door... wheek wheek wheek like bunglar alarm... funny thing is when my gal friend come back no alarm pulak.. lol

glad it works out with you too hehe mine also..after i removed them, they semakin social sudah. All my housemates pun they not scared...selamber saje haha XD

Hi guys, i realize my guinea pigs dun like cats...each time my housemate cat walk into my room they will wheek their lungs off...i can hear them even I am at the kitchen...

just brought the appiton A_Z vit c.. they eat like no tomoorrow...

i save my work to crush and feed

remember to give the right amount even though u might get tempted to feed them more when they beg If u give them too much, they'll pee a lot to get rid of the extra vit c in their system

they recommend me to buy pellet...
3month still eat pallet or other??
what vege can GP eat??
and my GP not drink water using that bottle..idk why...help me pls...

Pellet and hay is a must for gp. Hay should be in the cage 24/7. In this case it will be alfafa hay for young gp.
please read front page first since all the information you can get from there. And please do research first before you adopt pet after this.

Can you please take some photos about the farm?Would love to see the environment...I saw one breeder from Indonesia from Fb and then she got alot of breeds...really interesting and beautiful.I asked for teddy before and cost RM500 plus....I terus pengsan.. so now i dun dare to ask for the prices anymore...import from Indonesia already so expensive how abt those in pet shop imported from Holland...I am looking for Coronet actually...I saw peru from Amsterdam cost RM188 in a pet shop...hmm....are they overcharge?I never regret of choosing short hair guinea pig at least less hassle on the grooming part...LOL...easy to take bath and care as well.

It is very hard to find fresh green hay here, I want to ask anyone ever feed those lalang from roadside to their guinea pig?What is the name of the lalang cos I afraid later feed wrong one mati kudasai pula...

Added on June 13, 2012, 10:03 amJust a piece of advise and hope you dun get offended...takecare of yourself first before others...dun just buy a pet as a toy to play...they also have feeling...Make sure you are financial stable and mentally ready then only choose the pet of your choice. Having a pet is a life commitment and have to be responsible for them...Think carefully...

he also will give you some 'napier' to plant yourself..

nowdays weather very hot... but my baby dont like to be bath often.. so what i do is I spray some water into their fur to make it wet to cool them down..
