wire grids, baskets (as a hay rack, if you want), connectors and/or cable ties, ceramic bowls, plastic bowls (just cut away an opening and turn it upside down, to make its hide house), fleece (100% polyester).. those morning towels, can get at practically any hardware store..

get some good hay, pellets, and 1 pig or 2, bring to a full boil and leave it to simmer for at least 20 minutes before serving.. oh wai-

Has been reading online about C&C cage online. This is what I've built for guinea pigs to run under supervision. I'm using fleece on top, wee wee pad at the bottom.

Any suggestion/improvement that I can improve?

HEY I really want a guinea pig, so today i went out to look for materials to buy stuff to make a C&C cage before I actually buy a guinea pig, I managed to buy fleece and the wire grids. The only problem is that I cant find coroplasts big enough for the cage everything they sell in the bookstores are kinda small? Where can I get huge coroplasts?

I'm planning to get a gp soon so i'm doing some research first.

I notice that cloths or soft cushions were placed in gp's homes. will they pee on the cushions? won't it be hard to wash?

and i also read in some posts that gp can be toilet trained.. may i know how to do that?

i have some wood shavings left from my gerbils (dont worry, it's neither pine nor scented ones) so it can be used for the gp, right? but i also noticed that most gp homes don't use wood shavings.

are there any breeders to recommend? I thought of getting gp from pet shops at first but after reading this thread, i just found out that gp from pet shops aren't that good? I plan to get an american short hair or american mixed with tri-colour fur.

I just bought a gp today. At the pet's store it was very friendly and it was okay with human touch. When i brought it home everytime i tried to approach it or touch it it runs away. ): It doesnt even go into the igloo. It just hides under my hay rack lol

ikea should have. the last time i bought was very huge it was more than sufficient for my 4x2 cage. the fleece i bought was 130x170 cm
