nothing in the back is in focus either, so how can it be back focus?
i would say its a false positive in the focus since there isnt enough contrast or he moved too close to the flower that the lens cannot focus.

Opps... I wanted to say front focus, if cannot lock focus, u can't event hit the shutter to take the pic la bro.....

im surprised ur saying that since u also own a D7000, which i guess means u never really explored ur camera properly.
there is a option in menu for af-c and af-s autofocus to either shoot even tho its not in focus.
